It actually works pretty well as long as you keep the 3D setting closest to the lowest possible. I suppose it will vary depending on your eyesight. It seems to be a solid well made little device. But I would rather see this on an XL model. The 3DS screen is a bit too small for me. Some folks will get eye strain.
I predict there will be an XL version. For the size, the $250 price tag is insane to me. I rarely attend midnight releases, but I understand people's excite...
I will own and play them both. They are set to be great games - the both of them. Gears is my favorite 360 title, Resistance3 needs to recapture the glory of the 1st game - one of my all time favorites.
Also, stop trying to compare a FPS to a TPS. I welcome the existence of both of these games.
Play it on whatever if you get a chance - enough said.

I just upgraded my PS3 to 500gb yesterday. 120gb just wasn't cutting it for me. Got that fancy Western Digital 7200rpm Scorpio Black for $40 thanks to my remaining $20 Amazon credit applying toward the total. It only took 3 days total shipping with the Free option. I may be disillusioned, but it seems to perform just slightly better too.
Shift2 may not be my cup of tea, but if I decide to play this game, I am ready.

If I am not mistaken, Alan Wake was on the original XBox 360 packaging. It has been stealth advertised and buzzed about for about the entire life of the 360 console. The same is not so for Heavy Rain is it?
To put it in perspective according to these figures (2 mil for HR and 1.5 mil for AW) - 500,000 sells is a third of Alan Wake's lifetime sales or a fourth of Heavy Rain's sells. It is a significant number - 500,000 x $60 = $30,000,000 before taxes.
Is the last protector of 360 Core games. Lets hope Gears 3 ain't the last core game left. Kinect has invaded and taken over Microsoft like a virus. Unfortunately, Core gaming may never be the same on that console.

GeoHot gave Sony a legitimate and most importantly legal way out of the Other OS feature. The security of Sony's device supersedes the optional "Other OS" existence on their gaming console.
Since the PS3 is not a "computer", wouldn't it be sane to say that the device's function is to play games when it is classified as a game console? Removing the "Other OS" feature does not affect the original concept or purpose of the device.
Motion control is a nice addition - not a replacement right now. Some people expect these devices to be miracle workers. When in fact, we still need buttons and a traditional control scheme in most cases.
Kinect sells well, it is a decent device with a few great games like Dance Central. I can testify that I love the way the Dance Central plays. Move has a few decent games as well, but has "Move Support" enabled on many regular titles. But that makes Move optio...

I don't understand the "camping" complaint, I think teams that play as a squad may have better results. Squad based games are about using your team, sectors of fire, and areas of responsibility. I mowed down 1 guy last night getting my first kill in the beta as he was trying to run and gun all alone without his squad. He didn't have a chance, the match ended and I went to bed - it was late.

Is a mix between the automatic login face recognition into XBL and the way you navigate through the menu with Kinect. Dance Central is my favorite game with the device.

The PS3 controller format has been around for a decade without issues, now all of a sudden these same faithful PS One and PS2 gamers have a "phantom" issue with the controller.
I don't hate CliffyB, but he comes off like a 30 year old child. Go work on Gears and be quiet for a change, he "feels" himself a bit too much. Likes the sound of his own voice, definitely not a man's man.

Thank God I own all consoles, and have the choice to play most everything on my PS3, my console of choice. I have my 360 for Gears.
If anything the 3DS is priced too high, it makes the DSi XL look like the best handheld since sliced bread for the price. All I can say is I'd wait to see if there is a 3DS XL. These units will sell regardless of price and will pick up again around Christmas, and the release of any Pokemon 3D game, whichever comes 1st.
