You realize I work for GameStop, right? The employees are a different matter, but the store itself will never discriminate against a certain console, just because it's a Playstation. The companies (as dizzleK stated) pay for advertising space within our store. We're not ALLOWED to selectively put something in front of another, unless they don't care where we advertise their product.
Agreed. It's a sad day when people are only buying the major shooters out there, when the best titles on the 360 are hardly recognized. Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey and Alan Wake are a few I can name right off the top of my head. It's all because Microsoft is in it for the money. Compared to Halo, Call of Duty and Gears of War, these three titles were hardly ever advertised.

No, they don't. GS does not discriminate against anything related to gaming. We simply promote whatever is given to us. Midnight launches are not dependent on platform, but on popularity and number of reserves. The things we promote are given to us. We don't make them. Complain to your company if you want them to promote more.
I'm going to go ahead and guess you don't feel the same about Killzone 2. Until a shooter can look this good AND support an open-world FPS gameplay aspect, Crysis will be one of the best shooters of the current generation.
In fact, why do I doubt that you've even touched Crysis. To me, it sounds like the only thing you've seen of Crysis is a video on youtube.

It runs cooler, it has more ventilation, it's less taxing on the system to have the CPU/GPU as one chip, it's rendered at a 45nm process, it's energy consumption is less, it has a better heatsink, the fan is directly on top of the CPU/GPU... I mean, what's not good about this version of the 360 aside from personal taste in aesthetics?

A disc tray does not affect loading times. Also, if the tray is ever jammed, the 360 has a failsafe on the top of the console near the tray itself, where you can insert an unrolled paperclip inside of it and pop it out. Good stuff. It looks a lot more simplified and cleaner than the NXE. I'm sure it's also going to be a lot less taxing on the systems RAM, and will be easier to navigate. If it's really, I'm really looking forward to it.
