Hahahahaha... Really? I read this title out loud and my friend basically burst into laughter.
Right... I didn't play it, because why, exactly? It seems unfortunate for you, because I most certainly did play it.
The game, while colorful and interesting, didn't have much going on in it. People were merely interactive scenery that you could bump into, and combat was a scripted event that could only unfold through the story for the majority of what I played. Saying that this game is a bigger technical marvel than something like Assassin's Creed 2 is silly. Eve...
"no Y3 is not dated this is a splendid game that uses the PS3 to simulate lot and lot of people on screen and NO loading between the exploration and fights.."
Was that a joke? The most you can do with citizens is bump into them, and areas are broken up into zones, so there's most certainly loading times. This released in 2009. Assassin's Creed 1 was doing more in the technical department than this.
Great... it's going to be a busy day.
Saaking-II... Uh huh, I'm pretty sure that deserves a ban-hammer.

and so many others. The Xbox was awesome, and one of the most well-built consoles to date. Too bad the 360 isn't.
I was actually very happy that the Gamecube and Xbox were around. They all offered some amazing titles. The original Xbox was like the PS3 of last gen. It had the weird, obscure exclusives that were crazy pieces of art and were very hard to find elsewhere. The gamecube and PS2 were of course, just plain awesome.
Yep. Same price as FFXI. Hopefully it doesn't cost $0.99 for each additional character slot as it used to.
Except not. Sony is not going to give out a free game every month, otherwise, they would lose out on a LOT of money. It's math time.
Lets say Sony gives out a $20 game every month for 15 months. You're spending $50 for a subscription to play 15 $20 titles (even though you technically don't own them).
(20 x 15) - 50 = $250 loss for every person who signs up for the 15 month plan.
If 1 million people sign up for the 15 month plan of...
Ding ding ding!
This is not a deal. The entire premise behind digital distribution and it's services is to save money for the middleman and cut into the market of retail. Paying $4.50/mo (year based) to save $2-$3 on DLC is not my idea of saving money, especially when I'm using Steam, which comes with it's own community, dedicated servers, and individual support for all of it's games at the low low cost of nothing. It doesn't help that I'm saving up to...
There are 44-46 or so people on the team. Watching the limited edition DVD that comes with the game will give you a good justification as to how big the team is.
It's PC all the way from here.
I bought FFXI on the PS2 first, but only play it on the PC now. I'll most likely pick up the PS3 version of this for when others come over and want to play it as well.
DirectX 9?... Come on. Lets start pushing DirecX 10-11 as the standard. It's exactly the reason that I don't understand why 32-bit processing units are still around.
@vega75
Exactly. New cards are always coming out with a smaller die, more pipelines, shaders, etc. that all run at DirectX 10/11, and the majority of games don't even support it.
People like you are the reason why I continue to support my PC over my consoles. Upgrading every few months? Ok...
Facebook and Twitter are free on Xbox LIVE.
You're not saving anything. You're paying $4.50 a month to get $2 off the price of a game. You don't even keep the content you receive through this service unless you continue to pay for it.
There's no saving going on, and OP is right. Steam is free and they're offering games up to 90% off the original price. This isn't a deal. It's just ridiculous.
Agreed. It's a lot of free stuff and it's neat that they're doing it, but I could honestly not care about 90% of the crap they're offering for the first month. It also doesn't help that you don't keep ANY of it if you cancel.
So it's $4.50/mo + $9.99/mo + Ads?...
How would they honestly believe that this will sell well?

>Don't play online
wat.
>Laughing at Sony implies you're too young to appreciate something good.
You know what legitimized gaming? Sega, Nintendo, and the PC. Age has nothing to do with it. And yes, I have owned every Playstation the minute they were released (except for the PS3. That was bought in 2009).
