There's quite a lot of new IPs on the Wii that were created by Nintendo. You just have to look around.
Now, are most of their big titles sequels or remakes? Yes, but that doesn't matter. So is Sony and Microsoft's titles. They're all on either the second, third, or fourth iteration.
