So judging by your disagrees I assume people on here believe that he's not allowed to enjoy what he wants.

Chaos Theory on the Xbox was by far, the nicest looking console game last generation.

Sony's "future proof" plan cost them around $4-$5 billion and they lost more than they gained from the first 5 years of the PS2's life.
Nintendo has done nothing but be a success. Their products fly off the shelves and their games are some of the highest scoring titles of all time. Would it be cool if the next Nintendo console was future proof? Yeah, but I think Nintendo will do just fine.
I was about to say the same thing that Theonik said. In this day and age, MP3 is considered a high quality format. The quality of a product matters, sure... but that doesn't mean it's going to be the most popular, versatile format.
Excellent comment. The Xbox brand isn't as big as Sony or Nintendo, but Microsoft was incredibly smart in dropping HD-DVD. Yes, it would allow for more storage, as you stated it would've been too costly for a brand that's still so new to the genre.
Also, compression has come so far as to the point where very minor differences are even seen nowadays.
Motion controls - PC first
gamepads - PC first
Splitscreen - PC first
Force feedback - PC first
Kinect - PC first (motion cameras)
Fitness - Wat?
Casual games - PC first
You honestly believe consoles came up with this stuff first?
I'm more fascinated by how damn pretty this looks for a lego game. That new engine really paid off.
Someone disagreed with this? Everything successful the consoles have done have come from everything successful the PC has done.
I'm confused on this as well. The PC market is still the largest, most profitable gaming market, so I'm not sure what the PC has lost.
The only thing I find annoying is everything people have already stated (i.e. console ports).
Hell no. Firefox has become weighted and slow over the years. I find google chrome to be much more stable and secure these days.
It... looks just like Mass Effect 2.
I gotta say, the Mass Effect series is awesome, but the game went from an RPG to a dating sim. :|
Make the analog sticks concave..
So I assume you've come back from the future and know what's coming out this year, even before all of the gaming events have taken place, correct?
Yeah, they're just constantly spending millions on the platform with releasing new tech, updates, games, etc. Microsoft cares about gamers as much as Sony or Nintendo does. In the end, all 3 are just looking for more revenue.
Ever think maybe it's because the NGP is rumored for a $350 pricepoint for the best model, which not only means it costs more than a PS3, but we already know it's not as powerful.
tl;dr
Ports for a $350 handheld is stupid.
Wrong.
I'm betting Battlefield 3 and TES V are pushing way more than Uncharted 3 by this point. The minute I saw that preview for the game where Drake and Sully are in the alleyway, I already saw aging, mainly in the environments.
Character models still look great though, but after playing certain VALVe titles on the PC, they're no better than the character models that they produce.
Sorry, but I'm betting the big titles of this ye...
They stated that the Cell was going to be used for multiple devices, and to be perfectly honest, they scrapped them all due to stupid costs and it already being outdated compared to chips that Intel and AMD are producing.
Why, because it's your other account? What about Gears of War 3 and Forza Motorsport 4, the highest rated racing game this generation?
Please, no matter what the situation, it would've been viewed as negative.
If Kameo 2 came out, all we'd be hearing is,
"Haha... 360 only has kiddie games."
When Kameo 2 is canned we hear,
"That sucks that this super hardcore title never made it. Just goes to show Mic...
Why would they ditch it? They'll probably continue support on the thing for a few more years.
