That's pretty much where it goes full circle folks.
The PS3 OS is always on. Implementation is a firmware update, the problem, as stated before, is INTEGRATION. The developers were left with the OPTION to include these features, but few have and now it looks like Sony is being asked to include the option at the OS level.
The PS3 OS is always on, and always uses the same amount of DEDICATED memory. If you didn't have your head shoved up your a$$ you'd know that.
I can't wait for HOME to allow us to LAUNCH games like UT3 with our clans in one meeting place. That is, when I'm not designing game content in Little Big Planet. But it would be nice to have in-game chat and cross-game invites.
My PS3 is STILL ON btw, happily FOLDING@HOME with 640+ Work Units. Haven't turned it off since February and not a single overheating problem. It's great to have such a reliable console.
There was another hidden little gem in that article the Xbox fans missed (hint: Has to do with mods going to Live)
he is the Director and wants the right to CHOOSE his medium.
I'm actually stunned that he has little say in which format his film is released in. Next time, you can bet the Production Companies will factor their Director's opinion into account, or risk public lambasting.

why watch them on a next-gen system? This argument could be said for games too.
The REST of us DO care.
P.S. My wife LOVES this game.
You take advatnage of 1080p even with 720p sources.
I have a 42" television and there is a noticeable difference between 720p and 1080p. As a matter of fact, and this is not just "opinion", the difference in pixel resolution between 720 and 1080 is the same as the leap from 480 to 720.
While there IS a point where screen size cuts into the need for 1080 vs. 720, you have to factor how closely you sit to the television. Larger TV's have larger pixels.

One of my biggest dreams is flying over the African safari.

They just make up the facts as they see fit. Happens time and time again. They could learn a thing or two from The Onion.
My crystal ball has a crack in it, but my best guess is that the level of realism and graphics are going to plateau with this generation for a while. Photorealism. Real-life physics.
The next step imho is multiplayer innovations and new methods of controlling/interacting with games.
For example. World of Warcraft is not a technical masterpiece, but it is a revolutionary social MMO. The Wii isn't even "next-gen" on many of the expected fronts, but th...
hehehe
I can't explain why, but all my other games seem to just orbit Warhawk... it's the one I play between everything else. I am definitely snatching this expansion.
Conversely, there may be a shortage of Lithium.
No matter. We believe what we want to believe.
"SingStar is compatible with the PlayStation Eye camera, so you can also record your audio, take pictures and see video of yourself singing, and all of this content can be uploaded online for friends and strangers to see. If you're more of a browser, you can view other people's audio, video and snapshots and even rate the content. Those who are afraid they will see R rated images will be pleased to know there is a report option too. You can participate in polls, search online for players...
