looks good in highres, but the textures are really low res most of the time :C
looks too be 256-512 textures on many rocks and the ground and such.
no higher than 1k textures for the characters either witch is really bad in this day and age.
the game itself on first start is using 720p, was 720p windowed for me. quick fix.....
@bellow
yeah its an ok port. only thing i hate about it is the no support for 120Hz and the low res textures..... really getting too me.
i guess im just used to my 4-8k textures in skyrim >____<
actually this is the rumored date that have been around since months before the original release. that and the 24th for march.
whats so ridiculous that he dont want to play it on a inferior version, maybe he wants to play it the way originally intended in the highest quality and framerate it can run at?
nothing wrong with wanting to play a better version of a game.
Edit: RDR have never been on the pc to begin with so its an ip not been formally on the pc.
also Rockstar San Diego made RDR not Rockstar North. North was working with Sand Diego and was not behind the game itself.
al...
oh noes! the lighting looks worse on the pc version. i guess we just got to use SweetFX then and fix that.
someone really dont know what he is talking about.....
as higher framerate does make the game smoother and more enjoyable to play. anything less than 60fps in 2014 should be a sin.
60 fps isnt only for fps games and racing games. its for all games.
with higher framerate you have less lag and more smoothness. its better, even on a small indie sprite based game.
there is soooo many games coming out all the time that is singleplayer games. still playing Fallout and Skyrim here tho XD
sigh a let's play, of an old game at that.
Jesse and Dodger did this alot better and they are actually watchable.

@triple digit frame rates
120FPS is a godsend if you have a true 120Hz monitor. even better if it got 2ms response time :D
you will really see and feel the difference once you get on to those framerates.
loool, my most played games in 2013 was Dota 2, Hearthstone, FTL, Prison Architect, Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim. so im not that bad :P
tho i would love to have everything as i want in Skyrim and run BF4 on max above 40FPS XD
hmmm dooo want, if there isnt a new gen announced pretty soon i got to jump on this. my 3GB 580 doesnt do its job anymore as a graphic whore :D
so true..... XD
getting a Wii U this month :D
screw the Xbox and PS4. got nothing good till the end of the year. nothing i cant get on the PC aswell. well except inFamous, but i can wait for that :D
you guys are also forgetting that the steambox that they sent out for testing had another space for another 2.5inch drive with its own sata cable and power. think this will have it aswell since its cheap just to put it in there. people can always change the hdd to a 2tb drive or something.
actually, that was integrated by demand from the gamers so bethesda added it in an update.
still with the 4gb limit mod that came out in December 2011, the game still would have a limit of 3.1GB.
the game would have used 4gb if it was a 64bit program. witch it isn't, so its using 3.1gigs no matter what you say.
Gopher talks about the subject here aswell: http://www.yo...
any newer version of enb is worth is with the ENBoost in it.
it will lower your ram usage by aton. scenes that can take up to 3gigs of ram can now just use around 600-700 megs. most times it also makes the game run faster. it all depends on the enb setting tho.
the RealVision ENB ( http://www.nexusmods.com/sk... )is one of the better once if you like to be realistic and have vivid colors.
actually, the game got a 3.1GB ram and Vram limit in the engine itself. usage cant be any higher than that or the game will crash no matter how few mods you have.
i am unsure if ENBoost makes you able to use more of Vram tho.....
also to note. it also backs up what files you already have in the game files aswell if a mod overwright it, so when you uninstall everything will be back as it was :D
also, the new BodySlide2 app is sooooo good, can make any body or armor fit any type of body standard with what shape you want XD
as i said. modding in skyrim is easier than ever.
not really that hard to do. there is just a few mods that is a must have and everything else is up to you.
if you have problems with load orders you can always try BOSS, and if you game dont start at all then you can do a test run with TES5EDIT.
modding is easier than ever with the Nexus Mod Manager and those two apps, not to mention the MCM menu system that loads of mods use now.
already seen better source games already IMO.
Source is a great engine that runs on almost anything and looks good while doing it. tho this game dont look that great IMO.
cool :D
we need more of this in our media :D
why is everyone in the media so put off by things like this?
love it to bits XD
