well im doing it for the performance. faster loading times. and all that. not going to play my PS3 for one game for the first time for almost a year now except GTA 5....... and i havent played that at launch either.
there is alot of things better on PC when it comes to games, higher framerate, better textures, Better AA and AF, smoother response time and so on. think it will be good. and 13 euros is nothing over here.
its a 13 euros on steam ATM guys :D jumped on it on a heartbeat even tho i have it on the PS3 still unplayed from PS+
now lets just hope it isnt a bad port >____<
:O got it free from PS+ but still havent played it. cant bother to play on a console...... got it in a heartbeat, it even on sale on the pre-order at 13euros. think its a great deal..... now just hope its a good port >____<
thanks, didnt really think i needed to do anything for a big game like BF4...... alot of smaller games even indie games have great speeds on loads.
will check it out.
timed it around 40 sec from when the BF4.exe started, as thats when the game starts loading, or atleast should be.
thats bad in my book for 2ssd's on raid......
hoping for a PC port soon, Mortal Kombat did it after so many years so maybe we get a port in 2-3 years >____<
damn the HDD is that bad eh? got dual raid 0 corsair force 3 ssd's here myself that have 500megs readspeed each...... still think the loading time is really slow tho..... atleast comparing to other games that have heavyload.
agrees, a game that never stops amazing the players and pro scenes.
over 100 different heroes with different roles and different spells.
a game where teamwork is required and no one can solo alone and act dumb or it will be the loss of the team.
But it's not a big loss really. It's one in a series of very small losses over a 45 minute timespan that, when added up, will look like one big, spectacular failure.

well for one. we dont know how badly optimized these benchmarks are for linux. a game would have better overview IMO.
try a benchmark of any of the source games since they have full support for linux without any settings removed over something like metro.....
we all can just hope Half-Life 3 wont have the Regen mechanic atleast >____<
prob. going to be flamed again for this. but i agree.
its the truth.
when in anyway is 4xAF acceptable in todays standards,
and dont get me started on draw distance and aa filtering. that FXAA filtering the consoles have just blurs every texture the game has.
and you dont see any huge stunts from the console players either, Zooka blast anyone? you dont see that stuff on the consoles that for sure. controls lack the precision.
agrees with Bioshock and Dota 2, but COD? really?
alot of games can go before that, even indie games.
games like bellow would be better IMO instead of Cod.
Papers, Please
Prison Architect (even tho its still in Beta)
Starbound
heck even Batman: Arkham Origins (with all its faults)
they really screwed themselves over with no Q&A testing and such before the release.
havent played the game since the first week of launch, and i cant say im going back even after they patch it.
if they just bothered testing the game and checking for bugs instead of releasing way to early just because they want to fight Cod then they wouldnt be having such a huge problem. they should have waited. think if they released the game in December, it would be a hit prob....
you can do both. you can install it with dualboot in mind with another partition.
but if you have windows there really isnt a huge difference between this and normal steam.
well Johnny, who in their right minds would want a gaming PC that weak?
its about choice, we want better hardware that push the limit and its not because all new games need it, but because we want it to run smooth on max as we can.
our games are cheaper, we still have our backlog counting back decades that is still working great on PC. we dont need to play for our online service. micro transactions are a part of this generation tho, but we have free to play games that...
you know there is something called a PC..... and we have been gaming in 1080p 120FPS for a very long time already.
consoles are out of date before they where even released.
@thezeldadoth
i know i know. but its the fact.
consoles are slow and inaccurate and really destroys most of the enjoyment with dropping framerates and bad response times.
for me a new console is not to be going forward, it will be as going backward many many years.
i e...
yes its a PC with a OS based on Linux that can also stream windows games from another Windows PC.
but then again. any PC with this OS is a "Steam Machine" only difference between this and another computer is the OS and the neat Package
well any game experience is much better when the framerate is smooth and not slow. and when the response time on controls are fast and smooth.
i played and finished the game on the PS3, but its a broken mess IMO like most console games now.
they rather have a high graphical standpoint and physics and such over smooth framerate and response time.
that is the main problems with games today.
and its really bothering me.
rather play CSGO and Dota 2...
would love to play this game with framerates above 24FPS and actual AA and AF.
dude..... 2k textures isnt even big anymore... with games like Metro and Witcher pushing 4-8k textures and skyrim modding supporting up to 16k textures i cant see it being out of reach.
even 2k textures will look like crap if its not a LOD texture.
heck, with good texturestreaming you can come up with a gigapixle in textures with something like the Graphine SDK http://www.youtube.com/watc...
you call this a sale?
THIS is a sale! http://store.steampowered.c...
