well games are cheaper and the devs make more money for it since the huge numbers of sales..... but sadly lately steam is just being flooded with games and things dont get the time on the first page that they deserve. not sure really. like that games is cheaper and such...... but there is just so many >___<

well these weeklong deals and special sales isnt going to be so big soon since they allowed any dev to put their game on a sale whenever they want.
this change was made under 2 weeks ago and there have been over 100 games on sale since then.

the devs dont have to wait to permittion anymore to put it on sale.

+ people with low cash at a time may buy the game at a later day when they can pay for it.

like right now im strapped down so i cant get South Park and Titanfall.... already played though the story of south park and i will buy it next week when my paycheck drops in :D

alot of people do it this aswell.
with games now have really bad ports and have DLC and stores in game like dead space i really understand why we start to pirate game to check for such t...

actually most devs that release their games on steam make their money back within a month.
yes there is Piracy and yes its alot easier to download and use. but there is still alot of money to be made.
Piracy will always be there, only way to combat it is to provide a better service than the pirates do.

@Mikeyy: well a 60USD game on PC os really unheard of before this gen...

thats some bad eye sight right there.... get your eyes checked or get another monitor that isnt the cheapest in the store....

4384d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

not to mention 1080p Carmack was coding Quake one in 1995 on a 1080p monitor, a 28inch screen at that. that was sickening at the time. http://www.geekosystem.com/...

you guys really got have some bad eye sight.....
even with a 4k 24inch monitor we are still not getting close to the human eyes PPD.

everything that matters in a highres picture is the PPI (Pixel-per inch) and PPD (Pixels per Degree)

yes you can tell the difference between 720p or 1080p or even 4k on a 24inch monitor.

cant happen since an ENB changes the DX9 file from the game itself and is not really legal in many ways.

really depends alot on the ENB setting and how much GPU power you have to use ALL the ENB settings.

there is alot of presets out there and new once get added every week, or you can just make your own ENB settings.

its one of the most popular ENB settings, not the most realistic.
there is also many mods this guy didnt use witch he could have to make it better.
meh list of someone that havent been doing this for very long it seems.

as its true that pc is not limited by regions, many other games on Origin make to pick witch language of the game you shall download.
it wouldnt be that hard for them to just make us pick before the download start. or heck even let us download the other language in form of a free DLC download.

agreed, there is few games i want and like to play on the console, since PC is my platfor of choice.
i want my Lollipop Chainsaw, Bayonetta, Dead or Alive 5 and so many others aswell.

also, nintendo should release an offical emulator for the older machines with a digital online store front so we can buy and support nintendo with more money and always have the classics ready to download :D

and with Greenlight on Steam going to be a thing of the past i ...

well the fact that you scowls from just thinking about playing it on a PC is just a wrong mindset in manyways.
most people that try a highend PC for the first time at 60+FPS love how everything is so smooth and responsive.

4387d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

would think it would be higher if it was released on steam for PC. more selling power there over retail and the the official download services of consoles.

port it over an i bet they will make back their money within a week like so many other devs have.

its a limit of the engine in general. the engine is not optimized for 4k-8k textures to not have it crash or run to a crawl.
the game was never made to be run at that high res and with all the higher res textures and such.

a game like skyrim can handle 8k textures and it will look great with a good enb and such (if you have the processing power to pull it).
there is games out now that looks just as good or better than many up coming games.
PC modding w...

sweetfx is really limited in many ways over a good enb, enb presets use sweetfx at the same time sometimes.

this is aiming towards skyrim BTW :D

there is nothing wrong with a monthly model, if the game have a premium feel to it and have content and enough to grab people. ESO have none of those....
its a sad husk of an mmo that is set in a world shaped after tamriel but isnt tamriel itself.

well thats really not fair now is it.
Arkham Origin wasnt made by rocksteady and the wii u port for AC wasnt done by them either. they have been working on this since AC was out in 2011.
and its using the UE3 engine, lets just hope they have upgraded to UE4.....
