From what I've read about DX12 that's MS has hinted. DX12 is going to be similar to Mantle and allow developers to access the GPU a lot better compared to DX11 which is bloated with software that blocks developers from fully accessing the GPU. So in a way DX12 could benefit the XB1 and improve FPS and resolutions.
Paid for reviews... OFC, that's the only way Titanfall could of received great praise.
I've yet to see a SP only game have more "stuff" than an MMO like WoW.
Why is it okay for a game to be SP only but not MP only? If a developer wants to focus on just making 1 part of the game the best it can be (e.g. SP, MP) why is that only an issue for MP?
Of course, I own a gaming PC, I've played Titanfall BETA on PC and XB1 and there is a difference of course, things like 1440p resolution, consistent 60+ FPS, better textures, but honestly with a game like Titanfall, it's mostly a console port and on PC it's hardly a brag-able difference compared to the XB1 version. I'm getting both versions, XB1 and PC.
There's some what of a difference, but hardly noticeable IMO.
LMAO 4 reviews and an Indie title, really?
Never got downgraded, please Ubisoft, remember how much Far Cry 3 was downgraded? Watch Dog is no different:
http://i.minus.com/iboqqHgy...
"We're going to experiment. The target is either 1080p non-anti-aliased or 900p with FXAA. We're trying to optimise... we don't want to give up anything for higher res. So far we're not 100 per cent happy with any of the options, we're still working on it. For day one it's not going to change. We're still looking at it for post-day one. We're likely to increase resolution after we ship."
Updated via patch like I said before.
We're already seeing next gen consoles hold back gaming, just look at Watch Dogs and how much it was downgraded after being pprted to PS4 compared to E3 2012 where Watch Dogs was developed for PCs.
Nope, it stores those textures:
" Without going into all the technical details, in short, the benefits of removing these limitations are so impressive that it allows developers to store texture data sizes that previously took up 3GB of RAM in only 16Mb of RAM!"
Nope 6GBs, aka, 6000MBs
http://www.ign.com/boards/t...
Lazy development I'd say, it's been proven already the ESRAM can hold up to 6GB worth of textures.
I like Phil Spencer, he's honest and he interacts with us hardcore gamers a lot of Twitter. He's really the only person at Microsoft I trust right now.

Nintendo Fans: SCREW YOU GAMESPOT, WE HATE YOU!!!!!!
Sigh...
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Day 1 patch for Titanfall boost the resolution to 900p, Respawn did say the resolution would be higher than 792p. Similar for AC4 on XB1 where a patch upped the resolution to 1080p.
Got the PC and XB1 version on pre-order, LET'S GO!
I'd love to see Halo 5 or Quantum Break being demonstrated using DX12 technology at GDC
If true, great news for the Xbox One, but I won't believe it until I see it.
I really hope they show Quantum Break or Halo 5, those two games seem most likely to utilize DX12.
