Yeah because Oculus now having $2 billion at their expenditure means Oculus Rift is dead XD If anything Morpheus and Sony are screwed now that Rift will have a headstart in multiple industries, gaming and have Facebook to make Rift more mainstream.
CEO of Oculus has already confirmed Oculus is independent from Facebook. lol Notch dropping development for Rift. So what? There's already VR support for Minecraft through Mods and Third Party Software.

Hopefully, it really sucks that the gaming industry has been struggling. I hate seeing people getting fired. I don't want to live in a world where gaming is all touch controls and F2P on Mobile Phones :(
Yep exactly like motion controls, it was a fad and now motion controls are a gimmick that barely anyone is interested in.

Not sure if VR will take off, I just can't seen casual consumers spending that much money on it. To me it'll be a fad just like every other gaming peripheral. Seems like only niche hardcore gamers are interested in it. I feel like VR will excell in other industries like education, science, space, medicine, etc.
Damn that sucks, Sony really need to bounce back. The Playstation division has been getting layoffs consistently recently and I'm starting to get really worried.
