well there certainly isnt going to be a casual craze to prop up this console, like the wii. that is for sure. so nintendo is in pretty big trouble here. im predicting gamecube-like lifetime sales. in the 20 million range

sly 4 is not an incredibly innovative game, but that does not make it a 6.5/10. it stays true to its roots, whose mechanics were already polished to begin with.
its appeal isnt just to people who like the sly franchise, but people who like good 3D platformers in general. there is no reason to shoot this game down. sly 4 does the series and genre justice.

if you have never held another controller in the past 20 years, then yes, I can see why you would call the wii u gamepad "the best controller ever."
The wii u gamepad sucks for racing games (lacking any sort analog triggers). It is awkward in fighting games. the analog sticks are not well placed for FPS and TPS games.

its delusional to think that third party support is not necessary. lack of third party support is what sank the N64 and gamecube in sales. nintendo exclusives, no matter how good they are, are not enough to sell anything more than 30 million consoles or so.
