so, in reality, the gap between the consoles just got wider. The xbox one didnt really win anything. and in order to even come close to the PS4, they had to cut the xbox one's price to around $200 less than it was last year. and they still lost.

If you counted digital games, the PS3 list would be alot closer to the PS2. The PS2 had alot of lower budget games that would probably be downloadable games today. And the PS2 did take advantage of alot more japanese localization. Alot of those games are portable now.
Anyway here is what the PS4 has lined up for 2015. I dont think a shortage of games will be an issue.

Killzone Mercenary and Tearaway wouldn't have flopped in sales if sony hadn't released them a week away from GTA5, pokemon, and Call of duty. They had the worst possible timing in releasing these games. Sony sent them to the graveyard.
Being the vita loyalist I am, I bought both tearaway and killzone, day one, and they are two of the best handheld games ever made, but crappy marketing killed the chance of future games like that being made.
Too bad Nintendo doesn't already have a music program that they could have used here to make music for this game....... oh wait

Dungeon Defenders is still the best tower defense game ever made, by far
everything sells well in the holidays. this isnt any sort of gauge of its long term power. The wii U is selling 10 times what it usually does. You would have to be completely naive to think that these holiday sales mean anything
Im a huge playstation fan, but this is BS no matter how you slice it. Exclusives arent a bad thing, but these third party games, these multiplats they are snagging have no business, no reason whatsoever to be exclusives. tomb raider? street fighter? those games have been multiplat for around 2 decades.
While I do blame microsoft for this trend, as they are the ones who came right out of the gate doing this. With dead rising 3, Ryse, titanfall, sunset overdrive, and tomb raide...

Even though they were selling the xbox one for 200 dollars less than it cost last year, they still couldnt beat the PS4. Not even a price drop of 200 in its first year could save it. Its time to face the facts that the xbox one is never going to catch up to the PS4.

Its funny how all you hear people complaining about is "violence against women." Yeah, feminists clearly are about equality and care about both genders. riiighhht. They would rather focus on the small amount of women who get killed in video games rather than the mountains and mountains of dead guys in every action game that there is.
And even if a game displays sexual assault and rape, so what? Why is that subject matter off limits, but murder and torture aren't...
"Game critics" has always been awful. ive known that for 15 years, back when they gave Legend of Dragoon a 5/10 and called it a "FF7 ripoff."

people are desperately wanting the xbox one to make a comeback and they keep acting like it is, but the numbers onf VG chartz dont reflect that. and now we have this BS poll, which people are trying to use to conclusively show the sales figures. such desperation.
People are getting this from a survey with 180k receipts from certain US retailers. it doesnt even represent a 5th of the full sales from black friday in the US, let alone the rest of the world. People are jumping the gun like crazy and talking out of their asses. Wait for the VG sales numbers. and even if it does outsell the PS4 for a single day, it still isnt going to outsell it for the month, let alone the year. get real. holiday sales are not a measure of a console's consistent market...
