maybe it has to do with the fact that every other game is releasing with horrible bugs, glitches and server issues, defeating the purpose of playing on release day
I really dont care what the developers feel about "negativity." We are your customers. We put you where you are today. Our opinions should be the most important thing to you. You have standards to meet, especially considering you have had more time and a far larger budget than the previous games. And you are going to release the game with
- no singleplayer campaign
- no instant action
- no galactic conquest
- no space battles
- no clo...

4 planets in a battlefront game is a joke no matter how you slice it. Especially when 3 out of the 4 planets are basically deserts. You cant tell me they couldnt put more variety in there. And we all know they are just going to milk this for DLC later, just to get the maps that should have been in the game to begin with.

It would be fine and well if they were replacing it with something. But the game has a fraction of the maps of the previous games. And they take out story mode, galactic conquest, space battles and the clone wars. But apparently that is not enough. They also have to make the game take place on only 4 planets. It is a joke.

copyrights are not absolutes. There is such a thing as fair use, under US law. Reviewers and commentators blatantly fall under fair use.
And there exists no proper legal precedent for restricting the showing of gameplay footage. This is because gameplay footage in itself is not replicating the product. It is not the same as pirating a game. Also, under US copyright laws, it must be demonstrated that the sharing of material detracts from the sales of the product in question. ...
MST3K and Rifftrax have been using copyrighted content and profiting, because of those laws for 2 decades. Comedians like Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart have used copyrighted material in their shows.
Countless sites use footage of movies and games in reviews. I have gotten flagged for copyright and appealed it under fair use and gotten my monetization back. So yeah, fair use does not just apply to non profits
David Jaffe is flat out wrong, at least in America, because we have laws protecting fair use for the purposes of critique, commentary, satire, parody and education. So reviewers have every right to use gameplay.
And to even evoke fair use is unnecessary. There exist no laws that prohibit the free display and sharing of gameplay footage. For obvious reasons. Sharing gameplay footage does not take away from the sales of games.

The nintendo partner program on youtube is stunningly draconian. Like how you cant upload anything other than current nintendo stuff on your channel. and how you have to speak positively about all their products.

Not all companies enforce them with an iron fist, in terms of fan created content. Most companies are smart enough to realize that this kind of thing actually promotes their products and encourages people to buy their games.
