basically it was exposed that a feminist game dev named Zoe Quinn had slept with people in journalism and even one serving as a judge on an awards program (which she won). and this led to the uncovering of other connections between journalists and how many of them shared financial ties to the people they cover.
and instead of journalists addressing this, they organized together to demonize everyone who was pressing this issue as "misogynists" and "bigots."...
its nice that the escapist allows both sides to speak, in this article. so many other sites just toss off all the #gamergate supporters as evil woman-hating fascist pigs. but of course, #notyourshield throws a wrench in the gears of that narrative. or when you simply allow #gamergate supporters to speak freely.

at these rates, at some point early next year, the xbox one will catch up to the wii u. and then later that year they will both catch up to the VITA lifetime sales.

there are PS2 games that are easier on the eyes than alot of new titles because they run at 60fps. anyone who cant see the importance of framerate is a moron who definitely shouldnt be developing games
the thing is, the people writing these articles dont care about the merits or contexts of individual games. they just want to lump them together to fit their narrative and their agenda.
just look at Anita Sarkeesian. she outright says that she thinks the "cultural context" (whatever the hell that means) is more important than the context of individual games and their stories.
from day one, the media has not wanted any communication with #gamergate supporters. most sites dont even allow discussion of it in their forums. barely any news outlets allow #gamergate supports air time or even acknowledge any of their arguments when making articles on the topic.
and yet our numbers are still growing. because we have the ability to bypass the smear campaign being levied at us. the internet is a very difficult place to censor.
