God of War 3 looks good but there are certainly better looking games in both PS3 and Xbox 360.
^^
Actually, you will probably find comments of me saying it doesn't look impressive at all.
I expect Ninja Blade to fall somewhere between 70% - 80% in Metacritic. It it goes higher, I'll be extremely surprised.
@Cutnell -
While joking, it's still the reason why PS3 games don't excel in texturing just like they do in other aspects more related with calculations.
Why would anyone doubt it's gameplay?
It looks very good for a gameplay trailer but nothing comparable to a CGI movie.
This might have originated an article like this back in 2006 but not now.
Probably the most impressive bit is the animation whereas texturing and overall detail still need work.
I wonder where is Sony's response to NPD.
Last year they could essay the YTD comparison by themselves. Now, not even that argument makes sense.
You gave this publication what they wanted to have: "Attention"
Now nobody is gonna stop them from becoming an even worst sensationalist publication... but now with way more clicks than before.
I have just noticed that Killzone 2 has fallen from the original 95 at metacritic (with the first, exclusive bunch of reviews) to 92% - With the general, non exclusive reviews included.
The Demo looked like the first games released this generation. A bad signal for the full game... and It seems I was right.
I don't understand what all the buzz is about hiphopgamer...
To me, it's only an informal, not-to-be-taken-seriously website that takes every single rumor and turn them into "facts" to make up news. Something to chill and laugh a bit like sarcasticgamer probably.
I don't get why people is taking it seriously.
Dark Sector is a clear example of a game knocked up (a lot) for not being innovative.
It's a compilation of great games, mainly reminiscent of Gears 1. Therefore, it received an score in accordance despite being technically great. Of course it wasn't in the level of Killzone 2 but the score knock off was also immensely bigger.
As said in the other post, the non exclusive reviews are now way more objective than the first ones.
It was a clever move from Sony to give exclusivity to a bunch of websites so they usually score the game higher. KZ2 is still well ranked but will fall short for Halo 3 and Gears of War (both of them) in metacritic. It's currently ranked at 92% and I expect it to go a bit lower in the future.

It's awesome how a game that is suppossed to look this bad has gotten much better review scores than Killzone 2 - And that considering that Halo 3 has 86 reviews, whereas Killzone 2 has 40, most of them exclusive, which mean mandatorily higher than usual.
This is probably because it plays much better, it's much more fun and it doesn't look as bad as those screens pretend.

I can bet you money right now that COD6 (The one developed by Inf...
The bad thing about N4G is that unkown websites can post idiotic comparisons like these which idiotic fanboys will immediatly boost as news.
Obviously, Killzone 2 looks better than Halo 3, nobody says the opposite. But from that to comparing the WORST possible Halo 3 screenies vs. the best from Killzone is far from being objective.
I swear I can do the exact opposite and find those awful textures in Killzone 2 comparing it to the best screens to any other game and ma...
Technically outstanding for the most part.
Gameplay and Story wise... not so much according to this review.
I lean to belive the non-exclusive reviews for all games (xbox and ps3) unlike the first bunch, which had an exclusivity deal, Gametrailers and Gamespot's reviews are without any attachments. Hope things like the Resistance 2 Fiasco at IGN never happens again.
And "Cleverly" this wasn't posted as review, so it didn't affect the Metascore, while all other underground fanboy publications do.
Anyway, with or without this, I suspect Killzone 2 metascore will be around 91-92% once the non exclusive reviews (and more objective) surface.
Visuals in Halo Wars are more than Ok. A combination of excellent animations (warthogs move incredibly similar to Halo) and good particle effects. The envionments weren't impressive in the demo but I believe something better awaits since this one was full of snow and overall notihing to show off the game.
But what makes me believe the guy in the article was smoking something really unhealthy is the part when he qualifies Halo Wars soundtrack as basically plain. Well, shut up and ...
I have never seen a FPS on PS3 to the level of The Orange Box.
A Game with pretty visuals is not everything. A Gamewith pretty visuals, incredible story, superb voice acting and excellent gameplay is, and that game is The Orange Box, not Killzone 2.
I fell that most of the hate comes from how many nerves RE5 is hitting in Sony fans. Yes, Xbox fans also complain about the controls but not to the level to totally bury this great game.
First of all, its visuals compete head to head to the insanely hyped (for visuals) Killzone 2. Who doesn't want to have the definitive title exclusively?
Then you have a superb coop implementation, some of the best for this generation, something almost mandatory these days but that s...
If you check the Xbox boards, everybody is loving RE5 and those who doesn't only complain about the controls (because many are new in the genre) but once they get pass it, it's very common to see the coming back with updated impression, which describe the game, basically as phenomenal.
Those who don't cut it some lack are Sony fan-(boys?) who seem to simply not being able to admit Killzone 2 has some serious competition this month, including visuals (which is the most hyped aspec...
Well, both Gears of War are rated higher in Metacritic than KZ2 with almost double the reviews. That gotta mean something.
