The only time when the strange PS3 AA technique has given the console good results has been with GTA IV, and that was for a number of factors that strangely, it made the game look a bit more "real" even when the detail was softened by this technique.
In this case though, it's a completely different situation. the PS3 AA can blur some details but can't flatten, for example, the beard in the close up shot. In the Xbox 360 case it looks resembles...
No pals, this time is not just about the AA technique. There's obviously much more detail in the Xbox 360 and it's not a matter of sharpness.

It's not matter of just different AA techniques. The Xbox 360 definitely has much more facial detail in this screenshot.
What a noticeable difference between both. I wasn't expecting this.
Look at the overall detail, hair, clothes, gloves, weapons, environments, everything shines in favor of the Xbox 360 version.
It seems that the little white console still has a lot of fight to bring.
Wow!
I was expecting both to look the same for the experience CAPCOM already acquired working with the PS3 but the difference in detail in favor of the Xbox 360 is noticeable, and when I say noticeable I mean just like the old days when the first ports appeared.
VgChartz is usually right for hardware, but they have been terribly wrong with LBP.
By the time their numbers were at 1.8 million for LBP, Kaz Hirai announced they were at 1.2 million. 66% of deviance is not acceptable.

Check my post in the gamers section. (The 2nd one)
I don't undestand why Sony fans keep falling into the same mistake year over year.
It started back in 2007, when it was suppossed to be the year of the PS3, when big games like Final Fantasy, GT5, God of War, Killzone 2 and MGS4 would crush anything on their road compared to the "pale" Xbox 360 lineup.
What actually happened is that Microsoft announced their whole lineup later in 2007 and did deliver on the dates, making it the undisputed best lineup of tha...
Sony will be struggling this xMas if also GT5 gets pushed back to 2010.
There's no doubt that the PS3 is a great machine, but the developing time needed to create a Triple A game is killing its lineup. KZ2 has been reviewed and scored good, but 2 Gears of War and almost 2 Halos were out (Scoring similary or higher) before Guerrilla got their act togheter.
Makes me remember what Kojima said about the PS3 being a once a month dinner, which is good for a change, but ga...
If God of War and GT5 are pushed back to 2010, Sony will have trouble fighting Christmas against Microsoft's lineup.
Xbox 360:
All games upscaled to 1080p without losing performance. (Ps3 doesn't)
99% of multiplatform games run and look as good or better on Xbox 360.
Technically excellent games take 2 years, 3 at most to be developed for the System. More than 4 years is the average for PS3 (MGS4, GT5, FFXIII, KZ2)
All games can be installed on the hard drive, improving loading times performance.
In other news though, a website named "psxextreme.com" stat...
9/10 is still good. It's no MGS4 but still worth your bucks.
Actually,
Killzone has scored lower than all those titles in the Gameplay Departure.
9/10 is still a great score though.
@ Fox01
"10, 9.5, 9... hmm what's next? "
errr 8.5? XD (Just kidding you hyper sensitive fans)
Very Good Score Indeed.
I wonder why they scored it lower than Gears of War 2 in Graphics, for what the hype has been telling us at least.
Gameplay 9.0 (Gears 2 scored 9.5) I was sure that was going to be the biggest score eater.
Excellent shooter for PS fans nevertheless.
Very Good Score.
9.4 from Graphics caught my attention. Gears of War 2 scored higher in Visuals, Gameplay and Overall.
Working harder than Microsoft because they have 3 consoles on the market, probably.
Doing better than Microsoft or Nintendo in their gaming divisions, definitely not.
Judging by the stills, Resident Evil 5 looks cleaner than Killzone 2.
However, Killzone beauty doesn't lay in texture detail but in lightning, phsysics and particle effects.
Said this, we would need to wait until we see both titles in MOTION to judge properly. From these stills we can only say that RE5 looks much sharper in terms of texturing detail.
Actually, how can somebody talk about a console's momentum when its being consistently outsold in every region but Japan?
Maybe they should switch the title by "KZ2" Momentum, but it's too early to tell. Reviews so far have been a mixed bag.
This will be an historic example of that technicall excellence doesn't make an excellent game. There are a lot other pieces that need to be put togheter to have a new Halo, Mario or Gears of War.
I think they're rating it low such as Dark Sector was. It was technically excellent and borrowed an awful lot of ideas from Gears of War. Problem is that it lacked personality and originality.
Gotta give kudos to Guerrilla for the big effort.
^^
