I dont understand why they get people who arent familiar with niche japanese RPGS, to review them. Its almost like hes comparing this game to AAA shooter titles that cost 20 million dollars to create. He needs some perspective. Compared to other reviews this is by far the lowest, while most were 7/8/8.5.
Its of course not the greatest game, but to think it deserved a 5 it kind of disheartening

Let me explain my words. it screams generic for the following reasons
Steve Blum
Brown and bloom everywhere
Dialogue filled with obscenities and cheesy lines
Over the top everything
A game that would appeal to 13 year olds who dream of being adults.
The whip is unique but looks like itll get stale after the 3000th time you use it
This game looks generic as hell
There are a lot of problems with the game, UI is ugly and too menu based, not enough quests and too much restrictions on them(8 quests per 36 hours, time limit on each), copy pasted level design everywhere, monsters take too long to kill..and the main issue is there really isnt anything to do. This game is in dire need of content.
From the demo at E3 Sorcery looked amazing, the crowd seemed to think so as well. I am very disappointed that it wasnt a launch title. Ni no kuni might have Move support and thats also shaping up to be an amzing game.Another game; if I could find the last pic I'd link it, Basically it was a first person horror game with a flashlight.
