I think art direction is much more important that graphical qaulity. For instance a game like Super Mario Galaxy 2 looks amazing, but at the same time I love Crysis' photorealism. Theirs lot more to graphics than just shiner pictures, theres resolution, frame rate, stability, etc. I think people value graphics because if a games gameplay portion is good, then the the only thing that can be "improved" so to speak would be visuals.
To be honest this seems a lot easier. Only thing remotely difficult would be the hardcore mode
