You can blame Radical & Sierra Entertainment for that. Activision had nothing to do with Crash until they purchased Sierra Entertainment in 2008 (and the Crash IP along with them). The tattoo design was introduced in 2007's Crash of the Titans. The 2008 game, Mind Over Mutant, which also featured the tattoo design, was near completion when Activision purchased the IP, so it was quickly finished.
Activision hasn't actually done anything with the IP other than the m...

@Kivespussi
NO SHIT.
It's N4G. Most people here don't bother reading the articles they comment on, or they are too stupid to figure it out.
Why are people disagreeing with you? Sheesh, this site is full of idiots.
Why though?? Seriously, I don't get why people want every bloody game remastered this gen. The games already exist on the old consoles. Play 'em on that. They're perfect as is.
New games, please.
Unity might have been my favorite in the series had it not been so buggy, had it not required a broken app and the Initiates crap for 100% completion. I enjoyed 3, loved Black Flag and Rogue - but I didn't feel like I was playing as an assassin in those games (for obvious reasons in the last two). This is the first game since 2 that I felt like I was playing as one and I loved that. I love some of the gameplay improvements too; the new climbing mechanic is fantastic.
I'm speechless.
Holy crap - some of the comments here! Just... wow. Are you people unable to READ or something??? This is PRE-ALPHA footage from the CANCELLED game that was in development several years ago. This is NOT the game DICE are working on!
^ Yep. Would love a new one.
Not sure why I'm getting disagrees...
There hasn't been a new PGR game for several years now; I don't see how similar features are a bad thing. That, and there's only so much you can put in a racing game.
Why are the comments speaking out against the website being flagged as off-topic? Not cool...
To be fair, Dark Souls 2 is still "new". It's not like the Tomb Raider and Metro remakes, where these games have been out for over a year now...
I actually don't have a problem with this and I've been holding off on purchasing the game for this very reason. After seeing just how much the PS3/360 versions were simplified compared to the reveal trailers, I had a feeling that next-gen versions were on the way.
Came here to say the exact same thing. Arguing over which raindrops are more realistic? Sad.
Irreversible?
Not really. Microsoft screwed up, but they seem to be moving forward in the right direction now. Time will tell.
Yeah.
I've always thought the voicing should be done like the first two Fable games with the silent protagonists.
A Hero's Tail was pretty good... other than that, I totally agree with you.
You people take the fun out of gaming.
Enjoy arguing over pixel counts - I'll enjoy owning both consoles and I look forward to playing Quantum Break and The Order: 1986 within the next year.
Yep. I hate pretty much everyone here and I've threatened to leave several times before. Look at my last comment...
Unfortunately, this is the best website for game related news. If there was somewhere else, I'd be there instead.
Activision hasn't done anything with Crash other than publish 'Mind Over Mutant', which was near completion when they purchased the rights to the IP. I don't know why people blame Activision for the later Crash games. They actually haven't developed any Crash games other than Nitro Kart 2 for mobile, which was actually half-decent.
