Because they didn't spent 70 billion to gain 2%. Simple as that. Wasn't their projection 100 million subs in a few years. That 2% needs to become 30% per year. Every year. (Also wasn't it revenue not subs, with the price rises that actually means that subscriptions have dropped because the price hasn't risen only 2%)
It's sad to see really. I don't want to see Xbox go out of the console business. Sony needs competition. Without that you take stuff for granted and don't try. But even after spending all those billions to get games on the service GP subs still aren't rising and console sales somehow falling. That's obviously what's going to happen soon enough.
Trophies alone would be incentive for me. I'd have chosen to play HZD Remastered on my laptop instead of PS5 if physical wasn't an option
As always, revenue isn't profit. Funny how they only ever say revenue. All wepp and good making 2 billion revenue if adding all the games on there day one is costing that.
I've played both now, it's 95% the same as the Pro just some better lighting and the obvious better frame rate. It's stunning. I wish more games had the Pro improvements this game does. Absolutely the best use of that new console so far

Except it will. And it won't be more than 600 either nevermind 800. The Pro is priced at 700 because it's an optional console that isn't required to play one game. If you price a new generation at 800+ that's actually required to play some games you lose every single one of the casuals. No parent is stumping up double the cost of last gen for their kid. Why would they? Xbox are doing it because they have to. You really think the likes of Spiderman and God of War will go to Xbox. PS's whole thing is selling consoles, why give up the main reason they win every generation to the opposition

I would use my PC more if I could buy physical games. That's the difference. Far far cheaper overall on the physical route vs my PC. (At least 500 a year personally for me if not more)
Which is worth it to not have to game at 30. Also it's not 700, it's 700 minus your PS5 sale which I'm guessing people have sold that don't want 2 PS5s. So for 3-4 years better gaming at 400 or less. I consider it worth it, especially as it's only $100 more than the top Xbox which offers nothing better performance wise
I've played both the PS5 Pro version and the PC version now. Apart from the obvious higher framerate it's very similar. I'd hope the 120hz option woild be something that could be added
