And even then you probably will. All my games worked fine because I don't generally play online games

Did it last year. Enjoyed the platinum trophy journey but I wouldn't say it was a gamechanging game. I preferred oblivion to be honest. Although I did play that on release

I can see this being a potential issue for sales timing giving the extra 5 days l because as we know you can't top up on sales day, only when your sub lapses. Now people may miss the sale and have to wait for the next one

Yes but Nintendo had proven success of them, Xbox hasn't and are releasing one in their worst period in 20 years. That's likely the difference

You're forgetting the fact that in the PS4 Pros case, the regular PS4 had already had over a 30% official price cut (and that was for a brand new slim model). The PS5 is still nearly 10% more expensive than it was on release day. That 40% price difference is why the PS4 Pro was able to take the same price point
And I mean it's inflation isn't it. That $70 will be become $80 next gen. It can't stay the same forever especially as game cost so much more to deve...
They likely wont day and date, but you can believe they will within 6 months. It isnt about squeezing extra dollars out of old games. They have to put old Halo titles because there hasn't been one released for 4 years this year. And the last Gears isn't even this generation. But you can bet your bottom dollar the next ones will be on other consoles within months.
It won't in my opinion, in fact I think PS6 will be a couple of hundred cheaper than the Pro, simply because it's a required console that's needed to play games. Pricing it at 700+ is suicide and stops every casual gamer getting one. The Pro is priced as it is because it is optional and isn't required to play one game.
A PS5 Pro has power, a $400 system with less than the power of an Xbox Series S does not. (Don't get me wrong I don't think Nintendo for their games need power, and i also think for a brand new system it isnt overpriced) but the optional console PS5 Pro comparison is silly.
