@magiclebronjordan well they are cheaper than that, here at least. But you forget you can sell once finished. I normally sell my games for at least 80% of cost.
You're clueless. So I'm bent over cause I expect people are paid for their work 😂 30 years ago some games were 60+. That's over 125 compared but yet you're only charged 70. You're very lucky...no other entertainment medium has hardly changed price since then. Especially as they now cost 10x as much to make. How much work was put into them back then as well. And most only had a few hours gameplay. Now we get up to 100 hours, massive open worlds, big studio cinematic...
Should be thankful they're only 70 in 2021
Christ it hurt me reading that. Sure there may be faster SSDs on paper on PC. But how does that translate to real world performance? The SSD in the PS5 is far more customised and decompresses far faster. Hence they said it can push up to 9gb/sec. A stock 5.5gb PC SSD would lag behind the one in the PS.
Thing is we don't care about your PCs power. Nor do we care that in 3 years PCs will be even more powerful. Our games look incredible and we enjoy playing them. Rather th...
This is the thing which makes me believe this game wouldn't be possible on other formats. Sure, Xbox has a fast SSD. But would the game work as well and look seamless with a short loading screen rather than a warp? And PC. Obviously the fastest SSDs would do it with it with ease, but they have to account for slower ones and more to the point HDDs. That just wouldn't work.
Tbh it's been cheaper as well, as low as £18.49 in the UK for a 12 month USA Plus. £16.99 for a Brazil one. Where as in the UK we're very lucky if it even drops below £40 😂
This is the one game that actually couldn't work on other formats. Astonishing
My point was on Playstation hardware you don't get a brand new gen version right away normally. Remember Tales of Xillia was 5 years after the PS3 came out. Vespiria didn't even come out on PS3 outside Japan and even in Japan it was a year later than release. And that's my point, it took until the PS5s being out for one to come out specifically for the PS4. Which is why I'm pleased and surprised it has a next gen version too
I'm a PS guy but you really need to grow up 😂
I can forgive that more as part 1 only came out a year earlier. This is 5 years in the making and being Tales, I didn't expect a next gen version on release
Finally a release date! Nice to see they are finally embracing the new generation on release too unlike PS3/PS4 generation. It will look beautiful in 4K/60
We are blessed that games have only crept to £70 when some were 60+ in the early 90s. Look how primitive they were then too and the low gameplay time. Now we get open worlds, big studio design, 40hrs+. Unless you have a digital console they generally aren't that price either. This was £55 a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure it will be close to that again before release.
You say it like no one makes new games. I don't know about anyone else but I love to play my childhood games in a new light. Returnal is out in about a week. Pretty sure that's a new idea
Yep indeed. People say they can but unless it was side by side and you were pointing out minute differences with a still image then no.
Thing is that original comment shouldn't even have been said. It's a little shitty when it's your own fault that people didn't buy at full price. It's widely known that Days Gone was a bit of a mess on release. That's why it reviewed poorer than it should have been on release. If as a director you'd have made sure it was polished before release then more would have bought it at full price. Now its a fantastic experience. I'd love to see a fresh review.
I don't know why dynamic/checkerboard 4K gets hated on so much. 1080p already looks nice. It's an improvement on that and the difference between native 4k and checkerboarded is very negligible. Much rather a stable 60 at 4k with dynamic than dropping lower than that with native.
In the trophy community many still did
Well done Sony. This is why a voice is always good. For the pittance compared to their income to keep the store alive it was a crazy decision in the first place. Keep legacy gaming alive.
Honestly if it got some high quality games I'd still be for it. That was mostly the Vita's issue. It had a few to start then support for it died a death. It was ahead of its time too
@imalwaysright I'm not saying they get all the money. But a games company doing well will certainly pay more fairly to one struggling.
