Such a great game. Many people were put off by the slow start. Stick with it! It becomes so much better

I'm a PS guy but acknowledge some success. It's sold in 4 years what the PS3 did in 7. And it's never had an official price drop where as you could pick the PS3 up at half it's original price years later

Square Enix love their cash grabs but this is one of the worst I've seen. And here I was hoping for a FF6 remake in the style of DQ3 HD-2D.

Pushing to 8K isn't worth it in the slightest. Much rather 4K with better fidelity and frame rates. If you had them side by side anyone would say the 4K with extra details looks better.

What a load of nonsense. Miles Morales is a fantastic game and you're offended because there's one black lives matter mural in the game 😂😂 says a lot about you to be honest. MM is selling well because it's a great game. If the market was inundated it wouldn't still be selling for more than 50% of the original price used.

To me, yes. Some games were £60+ 30 years ago which is £120 to £130 now and let's face it, the gameplay was limited. Now they are big studio acting and design, massive open worlds, years of production and we're only just seeing a small rise. People go to the movies and spend £20 for a 90 minute film. If it was a digital only console I'd be more against it but both Returnal and Rift Apart were both available physical for £55 prior to release and if you did ...

I mean...the meta for the PS4 version is 87, which is nearly a 9 and this improves on it in every way.

$70 is cheap compared to the UK. Better yet, get it day one (Returnal was 55 here too) play and sell it and it costs maybe 10 total

Discounted price that is double what you can get it for at retail. If ever there's an argument to get disc version console, this is it

For all the downvoters, there's been a hell of a lot of consoles released in the last week or so in the UK

Do people really think scalpers hoard them. The price is steadily dropping. They turn a profit quickly. Hopefully more parts become available so this all stops.

I don't know if this is a bad thing but it does look like a reskin of FFXV.

What an embarrassing comment

Plenty of time but from when? You mentioned E3 2005. Imagine trying to release a game that started development then onto a PS5 with SSD capabilities. We saw how linear they had to make part 1 of the remake because of the limitations, it would be 10x as bad. Especially when you get to part 2 as it opens up. And do we want to see 500gb+ games? As I said every area needs to be designed like you're stood inside it. How is this possible when there's so many huge locations. It isn't you...

It would have been impossible to get the whole game on one release. It's not 1997 where the game is a top down view and you spend seconds on each screen and they're simple to design. You're at ground level camera and every single screen would have to be fully detailed. As shown in the remake, Midgar alone is nearly 100 GB. Imagine every area in the game and the development times to make all that? We'd get it in 10 years with development starting on PS4 and held back by those c...

Wasn't that literally the Sawmill Horde that's in the game?

1685d ago 11 agree1 disagreeView comment

As a fan of the series I'll say there's nothing wrong with that. In my opinion it wouldn't have been possible to release this as one 100GB game. It's easy to make locations when it's 1997 graphics and you're walking through each area with a top down view for 15 seconds. But when you're at ground level camera every single area would have to be fully mapped out and immensely detailed. Imagine just the Midgar areas like that, now imagine every screen in the game like ...

I would, because you can still get £50+ for selling it after you're done and actually get next gen only games.

Tbh they're very common at £550 now

If it's that much of an issue just buy it and sell it when done. Much better than waiting 6 months for a $20 price drop
