They really don't, Mintendo are a different market. You dont hear people say shall i buy a PS5 or a Switch. Its PS or Xbox. Switch 2 isnt running proper next gen games. And if it does, it'll be a very primitive version. And thats before the PS6/Xbox next coming. Graphics may have hit a wall in your opinion, but if that was true, then this gens Graphically showcases would be playable on last gen. They couldn't run them.
You're right, but in fairness that was literally the only new game to play on the Switch 2 that was exclusive to it. You buy a Switch 2 you want at least one game to play. So your only choice was Mario. That's why in Japan the console sold 950k week one and MKW sold 800k. Over 80% of people who bought a Switch 2 bought Mario with it.
Literally this. And its massively improved over the first part. And its not sold badly at all
Cant really compare those. Ones the best RPG since baldurs gate 3. Ones the next game from a game of the year studio and ones the best racing game on Xbox. To score 90 is still very, very good
It's not counting digital sales. Which are much higher now than 2019, plus the fact you could get 3 days early access buying digital. 25% less PS5s available than PS4s at the time. Its the #1 selling game on the PS store. Can make all the claims you like but all this adds up to nothing like your 66%. And there isnt a chance its on other formats by Xmas. Stuff like this needs proper optimisation

Context matters. This is physical sales, and a digital version was available 3 days earlier. That's definitely skewing it. That coupled with the fact that physical sales have dropped a lot in the last 6 years. Its probably not much different when digital is included (and that's without the smaller base numbers of the console) Cant the fake account take a day off from trying and failing to bash playstation 😂

@Obscure. Doubt it, they aren't in competition anymore. Sony aren't rushing a PS6 out which would barely have any power increase over the Pro just because MS release a console. People don't want the higher powered X as it is so a more powerful one won't shift any market. Especially if its the 4 figure cost that would be needed to comfortably outperform the Pro. No ones buying that. Different markets now, they're just Gamepass machines and if you want Gamepass you have one ...
Depends what use you get out of it. For one no one should be buying at full price when they offer 30% off for 12 months 3 or 4 times a year. Its £120 here, £84 with the discount. So £7 a month for over 1000 games. Cant even buy a mcdonalds for that. I consider it great value tbh.
Premium is the go to if you own a portal. But gotta say the actual premium retro additions have been shocking. Promised PS1-PS2 and a lot of the time PS4 games have been added in place of them.

I mean i agree with you its an expensive purchase but saying literally right around the corner when we have probably 3 years is a stretch 😂 I just got it because there will be a couple hundred resale value of the Pro over the base PS5 when PS6 is out so it cost barely anything for 4 years better gaming
If round the corner is another 3 years. I've got to play every game 'better'. I'll get far more of a resale value from the Pro than I will the base PS5. May be a waste of money for you but not for me
Its nice to have if you have the cash. But honestly I think these mid gen upgrades should be CPU focused. Going from 10 TF to 16 is here nor there. And PSSR could still offer improvments even without that. As the gen goes on those CPUs are so poor and struggle. For example we're likely only getting 30 fps on GTA6. If it was a CPU focused upgrade that wouldn't be the case.
Tony Hawk's is such value. Got it for £30 in the UK. Lot of game for the money
