I wouldnt say its unrealistic. The Pro is said to be stronger than a 4060. I wouodnt say a jump to a 4080 4 years on is unrealistic
Its still Nintendo. They've chose to raise prices. They've made an absolute fortune and 399 for a system with internals from nearly a decade ago is nonsense. They could have ate the small increase and gained some public favour with the monster sales the switch has had. Because let's face it who is buying a switch in 2025 at that price when the switch 2 is barely more expensive so it likely didnt affect them much anyway

I cant see it simply because of the CPU. I'd take a 40 fps mode

Yeah.. we wouldn't. There's some absolutely stunning looking games that hit 60 easily. Sure, chances are it'll likely be as good as games have looked. But you can make games look fantastic without them being CPU limited. I'll play it, but jesus the camera movements won't feel great
And is likely to always be the case now all the Xbox gamers will be coming over. You buy up the biggest publishers naturally that'll be the sellers on the charts. Me as primary a PS gamer its no skin off my nose. Means I get to play all the games on one box

Indeed but thats on developers. Sony just advertised the consoles capabilities, its up to a developer to make an 8k mode for a game. But devs quickly realised how absolutely pointless an 8K mode would be
Doesn't make a difference these days, the native 8K and DLSS/PSSR 8K will be only be perceptible to the likes of DF zooming in on screenshots. Not in flowing gameplay. Native is a massive waste of resources. I never use native 4K on my PC when DLSS quality mode 4K looks literally identical

I'm genuinely sick of these. Its littered with jumping (insert different kind of food). At least 50 of those. At least 50 'simulator' games - kitty simulator, work, digging, hotel, cafe, blacksmith, weed, cargo etc etc. And many other 'series' like that. Its all generic nonsense made in 5 mins and you cant wade through the crap to see the actual games that are out. PS said they were stopping all this month's ago and it's worse than ever
Doesnt bother me. Probably 25-30 hours getting the platinum and it'll still have all of the sale value. Likely won't pay a single penny for it after selling it with how cheap it is.
