And yet it still looks better in places than Crackdown 3 that also runs at 30fps lol. It would have broke the game engine to run at 30fps just like FFX when modders on PC tried to run it at 60fps.
With Crackdown 3, a game that actually looks like THAT this gen, there is NO excuse why a game that looks like that wasn't targeted to hit 60fps.
Then when you stop and think of the amount of people all over the web that said DAY ONE when Battlegrounds was announced for Xbone, no its not going to sell consoles.
Wow, "plays better", now there is an exaggerated stretch. So not only did people deny that PS4 games, this entire gen, look better than Xbone games when they did, but now XboneX is going to make games "play better" too haha, even when they run at the exact same locked fps.

That still doesn't excuse bland detail and awful stiff animations, especially in a game where constant moving of a human character is what you are doing 99% of the time you are playing.

Going by what standard PS4 is capable of like a game like Horizon Zero Dawn at locked native 1080p and 30fps, it has ALWAYS been "beefy" since the start of the gen. :)
But Spidey clearly gets turned bad at the end of the E3 2017 footage by mister negative. Maybe the next few missions of the game at that point you play as Miles trying to stop Peter. Or its just Miles as an ordinary human tracking down Peter when he goes nuts.
Or none of the above lol.
I would have loved if the cutscenes that play at the end of a GTA mission let me interact with them more with a QTE that can change the output if you slightly mess up. That is pretty much what this game is going to be like by what we saw at E3 2017.
