True, the new Mass Effect will be the first EA game I have bought this gen and after that awful reveal at the VGAs 2 weeks ago, that hype has been extinguished lol.
It wasn't Microsoft. Right before the main 180 happened at the end of June 2013, Microsoft already announced a brief 180 in early June 2013 where they said it was up to EACH AND EVERY publisher to come up with their own resell system. When publishers were asked quickly how this would work they had no answer since they were put on the spot so abruptly by Microsoft.
So what this came down to now was that when you bought a game it WASN'T resellable by default unless ex...
@n4rc Yeah, THAT is why Street Fighter II on the Mega Drive was 80 quid back in the early nineties.
No way. And EA will continue charging for Season Passes for contentless games like Star Wars Battlefront. And there will be a new iPhone next year. And the sky is blue.
Giving us a factual statement like the answer to "WHEN will digital sales overtake physical sales" is a statement I want EA, not the obvious.
Yeah, its pretty much another website reporting on vgleaks article they did last week. They don't even acknowledge that's where it came from. And nobody has made of guess of when this could be announced. Isn't Square Enix's biggest event of the year Jump Festa the end of next week? :)
And it shows INDEED. Mark Cerny said at the PS4 reveal, almost 4 years ago now, that devs will see gains from offloading CPU functions to PS4's GPU with the GDDR5 architecture helping out also. Most 3rd party games suffer this gen and are still going to continue to do so as long as they having to be brought to the weaker bottle necked architectonic of the original Xbone.
@blu3_puls3 I would definitely wait for Scorpio next year then if I were you. No point in buying an Xbone in early 2017 with 2004 ddr3 tech when you can get the true current gen, GDDR5, proper version of the console only a few months later.
You may even get to play the definitive version of the games you mentioned too at the native full 1080p resolutions, like for example, a version of Sunset Overdrive that goes beyond the disappointing constraints of 900p 27fps.
Expect Xbone sales to start massively dwindling in January 2017 and this will continue every month until the saviour GDDR5 Scorpio is released. It happened to PS4 in August this year after Sony confirmed the Neo's existence at E3 2016 but they wouldn't be showing it yet until Sep and then launching it in Nov. What happened PS4 sales is proof of this.
Microsoft announcing the Scorpio so early is going to come back to bite them severely going into the first 6 months o...
You mean 4 months out of 30 months lol.
That was one of the main gripes about the game overall. Great graphics and presentation and atmosphere yet the actual gameplay was incredibly tedious, like get to the end of a section and kickstart a generator SO many times. Which is quite ironic when most Xboner's "excuse" this gen about increasingly disappointing current gen graphics of their games is "gameplay is king, its all about gameplay".
Err I don't think there is anything to point to that at all. However, given their development track record the past 15 years you can sure bet their next game will be primed and ready to go by 2022, about 6 years like their usual dev cycle. And people like laugh at their factless TLOU Part II 2019 release claims.
I got it on Steam 4 years ago for about 3 euro lol. I did not need an Xbox in any shape or form to experience it. I got about 20% through it before stopping. From what I played so far, its alright.
Nope, that word is nowhere in the changelog. Old terminology/joke is old.
For me WD2 and T2 didn't do what I wanted and that is, just don't bother making them at all. Going by the massively disappointing sales on both, I was right in saying they shouldn't have bothered.
This was expected. Housemarque even went back and updated one of their earliest PS3 games with 3D support years after release. Alienation will probably get some treatment too.
@arijitfrens2006 And after that PSX event at the weekend there are probably people returning their Xmas Xbone pressies and replacing it with a PS4 bundle. All that work Microsoft put in to cram most of their titles the end of the year and Sony just screwed that up for them completely in 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Black and White? Surely the article means Black and White 2. The original was amazing, complex and so much fun. The 2nd one, now there is a game that Molyneux can put his seal of utter garbage disappointment approval on.
And Alan Wake wasn't a massive disappointment. They said they wanted it to be open world and people assumed from early footage that it was when actually no footage really showed that. It looked like pure crap anyway, seriously look at the water in that ...
Right then, don't buy the next disappointing game from this constantly disappointing mediocre zombie killing franchise. The 900p barely 27fps on Xbone would kill it for me even more but we all know Xboners have absolutely gotten use to this sub par current gen experience now after 3 years.
Wrong, there was a hands on demo at PSX too and if you didn't see ten hundred million articles this past few days on N4G saying its looking bad or even a single article saying it for that matter, I think they have already pulled it off.
Case and point, there is always some moronic website looking for click bait crap and even they didn't go there. Then again, maybe morons like Polygon and others WEREN'T invited as journalists to PSX because nobody wanted them the...
They better release Scorpio ASAP. Going into 2017, sales of Xbone are going to dwindle massively as the months go on with the looming release of Scorpio. I don't think most people have considered this, even Microsoft. We will soon see if announcing it so early was a good idea. Announcing the "NX" in March 2015 didn't help Wii U sales for Nintendo either.
