Also get ready for the uproar from the "AC needs to change" people when the new one next year changes everything gameplay wise (maybe if it does). My point, they will be complaining if it plays the same as previous games or is completely different.
Was gonna mention that but you beat me to it. :)
He should thank his lucky stars it wasn't the older GTA games he played before it. He would have been run over by a tank before he made it out the driveway.
Lol I bought GTA III AND GTA Vice City back in the day at the age of 14 and 15 respectively. I guess retailers just didn't give a crap back then. III was funnier because it was in a small enough retailers in Newry Northern Ireland like Easons or something. Things got more serious by the time San Andreas hit 2 years later though.
Exactly. No matter how this game turned out I was never touching it once that 70 quid price was revealed last March. Far too much for a team that small.
Good idea since its the next game after the Ezio Collection. The first game is currently about 3 quid in Black Friday sales and I'm sure it will be one of the free items in the 30 day giveaway thing they are currently doing https://30days.ubi.com/Prom...
They are being incredibly generous and it is really awesome of them. Will Polygon do an article on that lol?
Not in the case of a Nintendo console it isn't. Just focus on making the games that the people buying your console want it for i.e. a gajillion Mario games and their spinoffs and 1 new Legend of Zelda game, 2 tops. Nobody else is buying one to play COD or FIFA on.
You just described what PSVR is. RIGS it way more fun than you would have ever had with Wii Sports and the system was designed with showing off with the spectators being able to see on screen.
I guess we'll take your word for it then. Although I wouldn't call Halo 5's final build "looked good" just so we are clear. Looked okay I guess.
@BizarroUltraman PSN did 40 player multiplayer at launch in 2006 in Resistance Fall of Man, 60 player 2 years later in 2008 in the sequel. Xbox Live on 360 still can barely achieve the former to this day.
PSN NEVER had any size restriction on games, demos, patches. Xbox Live launched on 360 with 50mb size limit in arcade games and other content that slowly increased over the years to the measly 2gbs by 2011 that it is today.
PSN did large scale MMOs long before PS4 came out ...
How about instead we laugh at the people who said it would have sold better had it "stayed exclusive" to Xbone? Because that lack of 200,000 sales on PS4 ensured the game WOULD have been a success?
Just saw your second comment, you ARE one of those people hahaha. Lets keep blaming BF1 and COD when the real culprit is clearly Farming Simulator 17 with its amazing 1 million sales already.
The standard PS4 and its futureproof GDDR5 is already being wasted this 3 years. Its only stunning PS4 exclusives that show what can be done when CPU functions are offloaded to the GPU like Mark Cerny said at the PS4 reveal. Lots of 3rd party games (and easily Xbone exclusives) fall short by comparison, proving this.
@darthv72 Then get ready for the almighty BEASTLY Scorpio that will be sharing its games with a console that ISN'T a "futureproof" GDDR5 console.
Lets focus on what moldy said then. Scorpio will be hampered EVEN on exclusive games because of the ddr3, awkward eSRAM bottleneck, Xbone.
And ironically, most Sonic games exclusively on Nintendo consoles are utter garbage. Nintendo didn't even get the proper version of the arguably best Sonic game since Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic Generations.
@Nintendo-or-Nothing You know what, we believe you. Only Nintendo would be dumb enough to confirm they are making a new console in March 2015, TWO whole years before it launches. A VR reveal like that 2 months before it is actually out is not surprising at all. But please tell us how we will all be shocked when it is announced regardless.
Short answer, yes. If that was the case Assassin's Creed II sales would have been down on the original AC since that game was okay but lacked and disappointed many people.
And if you want honesty, The Witcher 3 too. Oh wait, no that was perfect and CD Projekt Red are the most incredible perfect developers ever that still sold out and promoted their game on the worse looking version first.
They own GOG.com and ironically when the game was announced they chose to announce it for the, at the time, most DRM riddled version of the game that was going to be on Xbone. It didn't help that Xbone wouldn't even be launching in Poland over a ye...
Yep my last major Sega Mega Drive game was Sonic and Knuckles that was pretty much a "DLC"/addon for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Those were the good days alright. We should also go back to soundtracks that sound worse than a polyphonic ringtone from 2001. Man these rose tinted specs sure are on tight.
@bruce755 Exactly. Somebody making sense. I have to assume these "good old days" people are actually grandpas in their 70s.
Its utterly bizarre how these games take so long to come to the west. Most games made in the west come with multiple language subtitles anyway, INCLUDING Japanese. Why does it take this team so long to add a few thousand lines of text?
With those 16gb patches now? Nope.
