@badboyz09 3 years into its life WAS the time when PS2 had competition now. The Gamecube and Xbox were fairly established at that point. The competition was there but you are right, it wasn't really competition at all.

I'm buying Horizon Zero Dawn day one since its E3 2015 debut and so are many others. Mass Effect Andromeda was revealed at E3 2015 too with an awful 3 seconds of supposed inengine footage. It had a disappointing gameplay reveal in Sep 2016, Dec 2016 and now the newest disappointing clip just released a day or 2 ago.
Not all games revealed early should be treated as the exact same thing.
Actually they have already said multiple times the original Xbone will be getting the same games. So if this changes it will be a 180 now. It NEEDS to happen if devs are going to take advantage of that GDDR5 architecture of Scorpio.
Hell, I'm already pissed that the new Assassin's Creed and Red Dead still have to be developed to work on the weak ddr3 Xbone and they will inevitably be held back by it.

Actually it balanced out nicely. All the PS4 owners forgot about this game since its Gamescom 2014 debut and all the haters who said it was crap and just another ICO/Journey game (like Xboners) are all over it now (which obviously doesn't make up the same numbers). So it evened out a little bit.
Was confirmed to not be a PS4 exclusive since March last year when Sony handed the rights back to the developers. Well done with that news. Even the news of the re-reveal is old news.
Its quite amazing how they manage to underwhelm with every showing of the game. Now I'm back to not bothering with it at launch at all. Then you have a game like Horizon Zero Dawn where its like "stop showing me footage of this game now, you sold me at its debut at E3 2015 when that ingame engine trailer transitioned straight into real gameplay" lol.
Yet we will see another article on N4G tomorrow that talks about games been shown early as being the problem.
This is current gen. Native 1080p is the standard current gen resolution. This game will be running at the current gen standard 1080p resolution on 1 console anyway, well 2 if PS4 Pro is included in that. Anything above that (including for PC owners) is a bonus.
Next gen is next gen. Who would have thought it?

At least Fallout 4 got a media blowout at E3 2015 with an extensive look at the opening and then a trailer to show off how the Build a Settlement feature works and then also another trailer that shows off the combat and how it is still very over the top and comical. Because all of us that are eagerly awaiting Persona 5 really wanted the developers to WAIT around for 2 years since March 2015 when the Nintendo NX was announced and see if they could bring it to the new mobile/console/portable that nobody knew what it was since 2 months ago.
No, nobody wanted this game to be delayed another year or 2 from its current release date and take it up with Nintendo if you have a problem with that.

Gamestop have been unofficially taking preorders since March 2015 when Nintendo announced the existence of the console. They were even doing the same with Orbis (PS4) and Durongo (Xbone) since mid to late 2012, long before their actual reveals.
Somebody should tell the author that the Xbox 360 can play the entire 360 catalogue of games, not only around 300. If he wants to play 360 games why not just pop the game into that 360 he has beside his Xbone like all Xbone owners?
@FPSFox The ball drop is highlighted even more by the fact that this IS the team who is in charge of this franchise right now that screwed up. Nobody else can be blamed like with Visceral Games and the Batman Arkham Collection or the mess up that was done to the recent Bioshock "enhanced" Collection either.
It says a lot about the fate of the Halo series really when it is in this same team's hands.
