@maybelovehate "What developers use their own engine today? "
Insomniac Games, Guerilla Games, Santa Monica Studio, Team ICO/Sony Japan, Sucker Punch, Nintendo, Media Molecule, Remedy, Naughty Dog, Rockstar Games, Quantic Dream, Ubisoft with Snowdrop or Anvil depending on the series, Ready at Dawn and Clap Hanz and that is off the top of my head.
I could give you a better list if I actually had to think about it. I have not touched a single EA game this ...
Wow, Skyward Sword was THAT bad?
It would be awesome alright but it would need to be by green lit by Sony AND Ready at Dawn studios since they are their own company and can do whatever they want.
@Septic Exactly, its exactly like Quantum Break but WITHOUT the TV Show crap............ oh and on a console that can actually handle the tech too.
@Deep-throat Have a look at this amazing in engine cutscene from The Order 1886. https://youtu.be/WTBbwgsyxv... Oh wait, my mistake, that is a CG VIDEO from AC Syndicate but they are so easily mixed up.
@S2Killinit He is clearly referring to the widescreen effect thing and trying to pretend the game DIDN'T run at a 1920 width. He must be getting mixed up with 1280 width, blurry mess Quantum Bre...
4 games, one that is over 3 years old? Wow. Don't ever get a PS4. THE "overwhelmsion" would kill you.
@Woolly_ So yada yada yada, you agree though. Thanks, admitting it and facing facts is the first step.
You guys are high. Halo 5, even at 4K, has not set ANY benchmarks this gen for its visuals. It didn't in 2015 and it certainly isn't in 2017.
"No doubt it's one of the greatest looking console games this gen", I just don't know what to say to that. The bar must be set SO low on Xbox this gen. And apparently one the greatest looking games this gen has, what you just admitted, awful lighting.
No, just overexcited people losing their shit over not really much again.
@Obscure_Observer After such awful utilization on base hardware? No, just no. 343i has nothing to be proud of since taking over Halo except taking notches OFF the franchise's belt.
When nobody is playing it since 3 days after it came out? NOW is the time to play it?? Sure, why not.
At least something good came out of the EA buyout lol.
Now get working on something else that isn't a gargantuan flop like Titanfall 2, that bizarrely very few fans of the first one didn't even touch.
Oh wait, you can't make any great games you want because EA owns your ass now. D'oh.
@Ghost_of_Tsushima Screw that noise. A game that looks like Infamous Second Son and runs at a proper native 1080p or 4K resolution on an Xbone console would be surprising and a new thing.
No need to spring to Horizon levels lol, launch window games are just fine.
For instance, Crackdown 3, launching over 4 years after Infamous Second Son is not going to come CLOSE to it visually or technically or even animation wise.
No. How about the 810p 49fps of Wolfenstein II on Xbone to PS4's 1080p 60fps? Is that similar between Pro and X here? Exactly lol.
@Woolly "On this occasion"
That just so happens to be the most talked about and marketed game that was coming to X that Microsoft wasted loads of money on. I hope it was worth it for you.
Get used to it. Support for X will take time just like it did wirh the Pro. Of course nobody saw this before launch with people going on like a vast majority of Xbone games were getting specific enhancements.
So glad this thing is finally out so you all can see the big picture now.
Yeah, when year and a half "beast" talker Septic above isn't even bothered with getting one any time soon, you know you you have something that isn't flying of shelves.
Seriously though, after all that talk for months, who here IS actually buying one of these apart from the one confirmed person moldy?
RIP Respawn. Welcome to more forced Frostbite engine games.
Lol 7, what the hell? The Gamestop I was in, behind the counter helping out, at the start of this gen had 110 Xbones and 390 PS4s for launch day. Exactly how much demand is there for this console again and it STILL isn't selling out day one with those numbers?
Respawn are the new Visceral. Whether you like it or not, EA bought out Respawn so they CAN'T now make a sequel to the sales flop Titanfall 2. They bought them, so they can STOP a game from being made that goes up against their Frostbite engine 1st person shooters.
And now just like Visceral, Respawn will be put to work on some garbage like a spinoff game to Battlefield.
