"It doesn't take a genius to make a tense horror game." Well it doesn't take a genius to make a jump scare horror, and if that's what you like, no problem. But I prefer psychological horror. I played Layers of Fear, but I was pretty calm through the whole game, couldn't get tense, so if it's considered psychological horror, it was pretty weak. Silent Hill 2 will always be my favourite.
I played Layers of Fear and I was sincerely bored. Only got a little scared at one point (the books coming at you), and couldn't feel any tension from the game at all. Meanwhile PT really got me with the atmosphere, even though I was just watching a gameplay video. But it's just me, not saying the game was bad. Just far far away from PT.
The ones making wannabe P.T.s should listen to this. PT was awesome, and Kojima knew exactly what he was doing. These guys trying to copy it or parts of it don't really understand anything.
As long as they stop making the series worse by instalment. Flying magic from morrowind + real speechcraft from oblivion + magic creation + perks from skyrim + ... using features they had from previous ones can lead to a freaking perfect elder srolls, but I doubt that would happen.
Devs are getting more and more lazy. I've seen documentaries about older game developers (like from Atari/NES days) and they had to REALLY understand the console to be able to do a playable game. Assuming the same thing will work ok on all consoles is just ignorant. And that's why Nintendo is the only one showing the Wii U's capabilities with its games.
pfft. MS you're pitiful.
Dreamcast 2
To do a benchmark of a piece of hardware you need the others to be top-notch so that they won't interfere in the results. A worse CPU could cause a bottleneck and thus not show what the GPU is really capable of. In these bechmarks you should pay attention more to the differences between the GPUs rather than each's performance. For example my good ol' AMD Phenom II X6 @3.2GHz is a bottleneck in nowadays games, I need to close all running programs I can to get more FPS (and for exam...
Not exactly. I think the game I had more hype in my whole life was Silent Hills, which apparently was going to be PS4 exclusive...
Difference: Zero Dawn is PS4 exclusive, Primal isn't. And I don't have a PS4.
Similarity: Not excited with neither :/
lol it's clearly fake.
Rockstar never use numbers besides roman numerals, so "GTA 6" would've never been on the title. These noobs...
But there will be Dinosaurs? I mean, humans and dinosaurs didn't exist at the same time, so this would break the "realistic setting" standard of the Far Cry series. But again, there was Blood Dragon, but I'll risk a bet in no Dinosaurs hehe
Disabled windows update and did some other things to try to stop this stuff on my PC, but on Windows I only play games, using Linux for the rest, so not much of a problem. But if DirectX 12 was on Win7 as well would never have "upgraded" to W10...
Playstation was always more direct, is the only one following an actual sequence (PS1, PS2, PS3...) opposed to Xbox that goes around and Nintendo that sometimes it's cool like N64 and sometimes it's...Wii U hehe. Just their style, there's no problem with it. And name an actual product as a "Project" is weird as hell IMO, and a product called only "Morpheus" would seem like human trafficking. Just saying ;)
People don't play YOUR SPs.
EA, as always, full of sh*t to say.
Got Fallout 1 and 2 in GOG summer sales already to get into the series before Fallout 4, although just recently started playing, and it's awesome.
Hope it's release on PC. If it's not, well, gonna cry and setup my PS1 again xD
IMO morrowind>witcher 3>skyrim. Morrowind fan to the grave xD
wow an actually good list. I personally think Oblivion is better than Skyrim, not because Oblivion is way better than Skyrim but because Skyrim feels superficial in several areas.
