PS2 is already a proven app. The only question is will it be as good on PS4 as it ALREADY is on PC. Last time I saw a train hit a brick wall the train won.
Then just pay $59 for the retail version and don't bother with the free version. Play it for free or buy it. Those are the choices they are offering. Again, how is that a slap in the face? How many other games have offered this choice?
If it's a paid DLC trust me it will be on the PS4.
Game play is spot on. The videos and the streams do no justice to the visual fidelity of of MLB 14. I haven't tried online yet (it's probably a mess) but the rest of the game is great.
I still am trying to figure out how something that is being offered for FREE is anti-consumer and a slap in the face the Playstion fans. Weird.
It's available now. And look, the world didn't come to an end! Going out for starbucks while it downloads. Let the games begin!
The vast majority of PS4 players don't have a PS4 that can games that rival a maxed out PC's? You lost me there. Breaking news: you aren't allowed to disagree with facts.

While it may not be uncommon for to see a PC that can max out most games, the fact remains is that the majority of PC gamers still do not have PC's that can accomplish this feat.
The bigger question is how many people will actually have a PC capable of running this game at "maximum settings". My guess is that the majority of PC players will be playing at something less than maxed out. The fact that they are comparing a $400 console to a PC capable of running this game maxed out is interesting to say the least.
In life sometimes things happen. Does anyone actually believe they purposely told people that the game would be available at said time, only to turn around and not be able to deliver? Is it slightly frustrating? Yes! Is it the end of the world? NO!
From where I stand there are still 14 more hours in this day. As long as I get it today no harm done. Something tells me the game will pretty much be the same no matter what time I download it today. Read a book, go for a run, do some house work. The sky is not falling.
17 million people already own a move.
I love how people disagree with facts; as if disagreeing with factual info some how makes it true... strange humans.
I don't think most people understand what the word "niche" means (a distinct segment of market). Over 70% of American homes have internet. Over 90% of homes have a TV. The PS4 may reach 15% of households during its life cycle and is clearly not aimed at my 87 year old father.
The PS4 is focused on the "niche" market of gamers. The may be the favored next gen console in the world but right now, about 1% of the worlds population own a PS4. It IS a niche...
Playstation is already a Niche product.
Not a bad list but you have to include Puppeteer. That might just be the best 3D game out there.
It's coming: http://bit.ly/1jrJ9Aq
The "PS+ Edition" is just that; a FREE version of Driveclub, complete with trophies (demos don't have trophies) and all the features of the RETAIL edition of the game. No one was ever promised anything other than a FREE PS+ Edition for PS+ members.
If you and your PS friends never want to buy the full version, you will have 10 cars with 5 tracks to race on and enjoy for FREE. The PS+ Edition was NEVER advertised as being a FULL version of the game.

I just downloaded the video. The game looks amazing. At this point for me they just need to nail the handling and physics. This video was capture from a PS4. Frame rate is not an issue with this game.
Looks interesting. Maybe my PS4 will be getting a new neighbor soon!
