I love this idea!
As much as I want and Xbox 1, this story sums up pretty much all of the reason why they won't be getting my money.
Wow, Gamespot gave this game a higher score than The Last of Us!
It does effect the hard core gamers as well. If the mainstream largely adopt the the PS4 over the Xbox 1 because of it's multi-media functions as well as it's ability to play games, this could put Sony in a better position to negotiate exclusive titles with 3rd part devs. It does matter and Sony understands this which is why they are positioning themselves now.
If it's that good now it will still be good in 6-9 months when it comes out for PS4. I'll play it then.
This games looks incredible! My one question with a game this big and ambitious is how will death be handled? Will we simply respawn at the last save point or does dying in this game have some real permanent consequences.
Drive club was conceived 10 years ago. It's being made by a Sony studio which means they have had access to the PS4 dev kits since day 1. Just because a company only show alpha builds does not mean that they don't have the past alpha build ready. I doubt that it's been rushed.
OK, who is starting a club and shooting for the #1 spot?
In a year we will find out that it has nothing to do with console capability. I remember when the first Madden came out on PS3 and how they said that they were constrained by the systems "limitations" and you look at the current version and they are 10 times better. Seems like they are rushing this game.
Imagine that... Follow the leader I guess.
I heard they already have produced and boxed over 10 million units with close to 1.5 million of those already pre-sold in the US alone. I think the stores will be empty on launch day but you may be able to get your hands on one when a new shipments show up. My advice is to pre-order while you can and don't forget to get an extra DS4!
I think Scott Lowe's story is very misleading and borderline irresponsible. His impressions suggest that somehow the Xbox 1 version of the game is does not suffer from the same shortcomings vs the PC version that the PS4 version does. He also does not point out the fact that the game is still in beta and is not the finished product. The game is already running at twice the speed as the PS3 version and will not doubt be a significant upgrade. Tell the whole story Scott!
The only game I would do this for is Star Citizen.
Is this a joke? Seriously. Is it a joke? Someone actually took the time to write and post that? Number 9 is my favorite. We don't really know what it is but what ever it is, it's better than PS4. I think this story was written by an 8 year old.
I'll send them some money if they bring it to PS4.
Maybe I am reading the story wrong but it sounds like the game is going to be free on android and IOS. What then is the point in paying for it on PS3?
my poor bank account!
I planned on getting this later but now it's a day one buy for me. I often hear people complain about the "weight" of the game but I loved that heavy feel of KZ3. Can't wait!
What resolution will the PC version be running at?
PS4 day one. Maybe Xbone next year if they get their stuff together.
