Milo, I am asking you to do more research, your arguments are so narrow minded and predictable, I would suggest you look at what is happening with VR outside of gaming as well, see whats happening in the film industry, medicine education, etc, also look into the multitude of headsets being worked on and their peripherals and last but not least see whats happening in China as far as VR is concerned.
VR is about far more than gaming and has far more support than 3Dtv motion c...
A different point of view is never a problem to me Milo, yours however goes against everything that is happening in VR, while you view VR as some kind of fad, every tech company out there is gambling huge amounts of money to grab a piece of the VR pie.
Now forgive me if I have more faith in the whole of the tech industry than your limited exposure to VR, of course it goes far beyond whats happening in the tech industry, but like I said a little research is all you need to d...
Milo I suggest a little research, before making such uninformed statements.
Milo, a little research will show you VR has a long and exciting future ahead of it, you really have no idea what you are talking about.
VR has nothing to do with 3D tv. every and I mean every tech company out there is heavily invested in VR, the people that compare it to 3d tv etc show nothing but their ignorance, VR has a big big future.
Sony has done a hell of a job with PSVR, it compares favourably with the much more expensive offerings and excels in areas like comfort and ease of use, with Sony's gaming experience and first party studios PSVR owners have a lot to look forward to.
October cant come soon enough.
Moldy I'm talking about VR as a whole, you have downplayed VR for some time, when all the evidence suggests VR has a big future ahead of it.
VR is far from a fad and people just like you are starting to realise that.
Even Moldy is beginning to see VR's potential, VR is here to stay people.
October can't come soon enough.
You don't understand VR thats why, you still think VR is a fad, all the evidence points to exactly the opposite.
Agreed, some people dont seem to understand how immersive and memorable this tech is.
VR is growing into an amazing tech.
Pre ordered my PSVR and I'm looking forward to playing this along with others, looks like my PSVR will be getting plenty of use.
Just give me VR, you can keep the controller.
This is just a sign of things to come, VR and it's designs will become far more refined over the years, anyone thinking VR is all big Visors and long tethers are not seeing whats happening in the real world.
VR is happening and is only going to grow.
So why show it playing games at e3???
Because all the talk has been about PSVR and virtual reality, MS used it as a me too device, but even they accepted it was never designed as a gaming device.
Hololens seems to have been superseded by Magic Leap in the AR market, certainly it is gaining a lot of support, and the people who have seen it in action leave very impressed,

No Yarbie, I'm not saying that at all, I'm saying you cant judge a VR game, by watching it on youtube, they are totally different experiences.
The trouble is mcstorm, you are thinking too small and not seeing the bigger picture, It is a lot more than Kinect and Wii mote, niether of those products were invested in by every major tech company which is what is happening with VR, also the uses of VR go far beyond gaming. The film industry is another media showing huge interest in VR, there is also medicine, education, sport, etc.
The list and financial backing are far beyond anything kinect could hope for.
If you are basing your opinion of rigs on you tube vids, then you are missing the point of VR.
Death many people may own a PC, but the vast majority are not capable of running the Vive without being upgraded.
Moldy, I have the camera and motion controllers already, for me PSVR is exactly the price Sony said it is.
I was reading about this a few days ago, it is an interesting concept and can certainly see it adding something to the VR space, one things for sure there is a lot of development going on around VR this is just one of many VR innovations.
