ArchangelMike, Star Trek Bridge crew is being made by Ubisoft and has a release date of the 29th of November.
It's one I have been keeping an eye on, so I might catch up with you in the game, but I'm captain ok :)
I will be jumping into journey too, maybe Farpoint, not sure yet.
I think what the reviews are showing is that the PSVR is a viable VR option, offering a great balance between price and performance.
VR is happening people and it's not going away.
Those who dismiss VR have no idea of the huge investments being made into the tech, PSVR is just the beginning of VR becoming a media all it's own.
Not long now to see what all the fuss is about, exciting times.
I'm going for VR Worlds and Battlezone, Star Trek bridge crew and Journey are also on my list, Driveclub has my interest, but I'm looking at buying a steering wheel and some kind of seat to get the most out of the experience, So might ...
mikeslemonade : The PS4 hardware is too weak to do VR.
That has got to be one of the dumbest post's ever, The PSVR has been demoed for over a year running VR, the reviews have all run it on a PS4, and have stated it to be a great experience.
I have the PSVR ore ordered, and a few games too, they will all run fine on a PS4, so how can it be too weak?
I doubt Sony will continue with the tracking it uses now, it does a good job but does have limitations too, VR will continue to evolve, smaller headsets, higher resolutions, more power, wireless etc.
This is first gen stuff and is just a taste of whats coming, but it's one hell of an appetiser.
LordJamar have you any idea whats happening with VR?
Every major tech company (and I mean Every) are investing billions into the tech, anylysts are predicting it to be worth 100's of billions in as little as 5-10 years, It's uses go far beyond gaming, the film industry among others are already experimenting with the tech.
China, love VR and there are numerous headsets being developed, VR has a long road to travel, but it is no fad.
Got this pre ordered, seems like the best Value VR device out there, offering great performance at an affordable price.
Not long now.
Taken from the article: the PlayStation VR truly is punching above its weight. Easily the most comfortable headset on the market, Sony have found the perfect sweet spot between price and performance. My time with the hardware so far has been a genuine joy.
Sony have done an amazing job with the PSVR, it deserves to do well.
VR is no fad, every tech company out there is now heavily invested in it's future, with anylysts predicting the AR/VR world being worth Billions of dollars in just a few years.
the tech will continue to evolve and branch out into alsorts of media, Film, Medicine,Education, the list is endless, A fad is something that comes and goes, VR is going to be around for a long long time.
Sony have done a great job.
I'm particularly impressed that the screen door effect (or lack of) is better on The PSVR than the Vive or Oculus, despite using a lower resolution.
PSVR sounds like the real deal.
For a first dip into the VR waters, Sony have done an amazing job bringing the experience to the mass market.
PSVR is a quality product and considering the price, it stands up well to the more expensive alternatives.
Bring it on Sony.
Playable, what part of early adopters are the ones that prove demand for a tech, are you not getting?
I wasn't bad mouthing anyone, you were.
You do realise without early adopters proving the demand, you would never see the tech.
Instead of criticising them, maybe you should be thanking them.
Wow Lelo you are so uninformed, VR has so much more going for it than Kinect, the fact all the tech companies are now heavily invested in VR should show you that.
VR will be around for a long long time.
I much prefer Sony going the extra horsepower route , than fitting a drive that you will be able to pick up cheap by the time 4K movies gain traction..
VR has every tech manufacturer heavily invested in it, with billions being poured into it's developement and will grow into a media all it's own, doesn't sound like a gimmick to me.
VR will touch everyones lives eventually..
The PC has some powerful VR, especially the VIVE, but it comes at a cost, and it's lack of games is hurting.
The PSVR for the price offers great value for money and in some ways outperforms it's more expensive competitors, ease of use and comfort are easy wins for the PSVR, but ultimately these are early days for VR and it would be good to see all devices do well, helping VR to plant some solid roots.
No reason why, just another sad xbox gamer salty that PS4 owners have another great way to enjoy gaming.

I cant wait for this VR fad to be over
You are going to be in for a long wait my friend, VR is here to stay.
taken from the article: like many of you, I was dismissive of the ‘fad’ three months ago, believing it to be more a novelty rather than a real gaming experience. However, after playing all three major systems, there’s no doubt about Virtual Reality being future of gaming, and Sony is leading the pack.
Sony certainly has a good chance of gaining a decent foothold in the VR market, the PSVR sounds like a worthwhile experience, and it is quite an achievement by Sony to not onl...
