I think R:FOM and Motorstorm have been in the top 10 software since March. So much for "it'll drop off immediately after launch."
And as for it outselling Wii, in other countries Wii is moderately available and greatly outsells PS3 atm so this wouldn't be an issue here, but in Aus and NZ, Wiis are totally available.
It's gonna be madness when the end of year lineup hits + price cut.
Timesplitters Future Perfect was such a good game on PS2, and we can guarantee this game will release at some point.
XMB access is a certainty in the future, what's all that rubbish about not possible because of RAM or SPU limitations.
Also rubbish is that Home is crap. Home, something MS isn't even considering is infinitely better. As a matchmaking service, as a user generated content service (for free unlike 360), and as a social environment, which believe it or not, casuals WANT (what would the Xbox hardcore know about that).
Sega, Free Radical, Criterion, Konami, Square Enix, Starbreeze and Pandemic have all jumped on board (PS3 version of multiplats=superior), most everyone knows PS3 is superior tech but the issue is utilising it. And its nothing like Xbox/PS2 where PS2 had an insurmountable lead in all 3 regions. 360 is dead in Japan, flailing in Europe and average but slipping to flailing in America month over month.
PS3 can only go up from here, having stabilised at 80k after selling under 100...
You always make crap up Toughname.
@above, it's probably when you pick the same colour scheme on both, as I assume they did, PS3's colour scheme looks better than that same scheme on 360.
Oh, and what's that? It'll ALWAYS be FREE. The game is on lag free dedicated while its at the peak of popularity, then when it fades out it can still be played.
I'll gladly watch the Xbox army bend over and take it rough every year while PS3 owners get to experience what will soon be a VASTLY superior service (intro of Home to public - they just added in-game XMB access), and one that for the foreseeable future is entirely free.
Amazing Sony, you one-upped all yo...
In which case you shouldn't have bought a Wii in the first place.
That's a huge step. Now XBL has to play catchup with pricing.
For so much longer. And hell, MS can't even beat Sony at the biggest part of online gaming, you know - the GAMING part. P2P (MS) vs Dedicated servers (in some instances, Sony), Ridiculously expensive vs free respectively.
Think about what you're "only paying XXcents a day for" aka getting @$$raped.
The $99 price point coupled with waggle this holiday would deal a death blow to Wii while the year was still there. Then, the $99 point could take over for sales.
Also, Capcom is rumoured to be working on a PS3 exclusive too. Kojima's is probably ZoE3, and seeing as they're still making exclusives, it seems they have faith in PS3, and exclusives haven't died out as I predicted. That's assuming this rumour is true, and knowing Kojima, it's likely.
They're the ones being led blindly from one failed console which was suddenly dropped (Xbox1) to the next.
1. 360 is selling around 250k at BEST a month. 150k in America, its strongest market, and less than PS3 in Europe by all accounts, which to be honest, isn't doing all that great.
On average, 360 is doing 8k a month in Japan. PS3 is doing 32k.
At least PS3 has a chance to turn this around - Fall - price drop 150-200, wide variety of games for all gamers, free superior online (at that time), Home and some Blu-ray driver considering Blu-ray will be even more popular later t...
PS3 doesn't need Blu-ray to save it. Just like it doesn't need Home to save it. It's a games machine first and foremost, and R:FOM and Motorstorm so far prove this.
Of course, now the war is Blu-ray vs DVD, since HD-DVDEAD is as the name suggests. There has not been a single HD-DVDEAD article saying it can win, only those saying Blu-ray is a step closer (yeah right, it's already over the finish line), or has already won (that's more like it). Hell, even HD-DVDEAD's supporters h...
...and stop them from having to deny all of them as you say.
Some time after the "Noooz" site said MGS4 was coming to 360, Konami reported to CVG that the game was indeed still a PS3 exclusive.
Now for the constants:
1. Later, Kojima said how MGS4 needs theatre type hardware (=PS3). If the game could be done on DVD hardware (which he compares to 360), that's when the game would be ported.
2.Then there's what I stated. Kojima confir...

He's said it soooo many times since. But I guess Xbox fanboys would rather listen to a redneck on destructoid with no source who snorts cocaine than to Kojima, who has TOTAL control over the game (Konami also said it's exclusive, but Kojima is the only one who decides where it goes - why? Because he set up his own dev studio after MGS2 so he c...
Yes. Yes he was.
It's not a mass market premise. It's not even a hardcore 360 owner concept - a community whose main drivers were built on LIVE, but not even a hint of multiplayer in this game. It's not even set in the future with aliens which could have pulled it through slightly as an Xbox FPS.
Also, multiplayer games MUST be cheaper than a full priced game (i.e. Warhawk). Another example of Shadowrun's faults.
And as for the exclusive argument, I can't remember an instance whe...
Not if you're an FPS though. That's one HUUUGE reason why Bioshock will not fare well.
As for multiplayer only, also fine IF it's clear i.e. Warhawk's box. Not like Shadowrun.
As for "company exclusives," that's the stupidest idea I've heard to try and justify PC/360 games as exclusive to 360. Worse than console exclusive. Exclusive means you can only get it in one place. People are putting up all these labels alongside exclusive because they need to justify ho...
Even if it doesn't come to PS3 next year, I can play it on my PC.
"Bububu MS gets my money!!! = MS exclusive!"
Only it's 1 360 sale they could've had. Same with the many many "exclusives" for 360 which are also on PC. MS exclusive is about as exclusive as timed exclusive. If you can play it somewhere else, it's not exclusive. I'd like to see them get money from PC pirates or by not even publishing the game!
Do you guys honestly ...
But more importantly, it has extra content that can be enjoyed, which 360 does not.
And free online!
Superior version confirmed.
