Nintendo charges the most at I believe 10, Sony at 7, MS at 5. Dollars that is, not thousands/hundreds.
HD-DVDEAD's exclusion would have changed nothing. HD discs make up so little of the actual physical media market, and HD-DVD makes up so little of the HD disc market, that its exclusion could have only HELPED Blockbuster to improve profitability (i.e. not lose money because they bought too many dead discs).
In fact I'm willing to bet that choosing Blu-ray was a step towards their goals, and the exclusion of HD-DVD was actually the first publicised step of this closure.

"This is totally ridiculous. Wii does not have any games worth playing which can't be picked up elsewhere."
Strikers + the rubbish you listed is not worth playing.
I mean this is truly desperation. When you have actual high quality games like Gears, R:FOM, Motorstorm, Forza 2 that can be played exclusively on their respective consoles, Eledees/Elebits and the like reeks of misery and depression on a list of good games.
Enjoy your sales, w...
It would be a crying shame if the game went to waste on PC. It needs to come to the consoles for full exposure.
I said this though in the announcement article, that they'd announce a PS3 game. Let's hope it's not some crappy fantasy MMO.
-Terrible story
-Terrible characters
-VERY short
-Frustrating backtracking, long dungeons, outrageous demands for quests with little reward
-Too easy
-Has to be replayed (the horror!) to get all achievements
-Shallow battle system
-Great art
-Good music
But it's coming to PS3 anyway, so people can be more objective about it than if it were a 360 exclusive.
They didn't garner any new developer support - they just moneyhatted a few, after that, they'll need to moneyhat more because Japanese exclusive games just don't sell on 360.
They've failed once again in Japan, and this truly is desperation. They will not gain new ground, in fact they're more likely to underperform Xbox1.
Poor advertising (whatswrongwithu!), poor game selection, Japanese inherent bias towards Japanese products (it's true) are all factors.

If there's a Jade Empire 2 or Kotor under them, we can guarantee they'll be multi. They have their PS3 dev kit, so let's see the results!
If nothing is announced, I'll have to settle for their games on PC, where they all go anyway.
As above.
They, alongside Lair, Heavenly Sword and GTHD are the top of the top of console games in terms of graphics. No other game comes close.
They're seriously f***ing amazing.
Then again, PS3 owners will be used to this type of graphical superiority, but since you don't own a PS3, and no other system has comparable visuals, you seem very jaded when you say the graphics are not something to be excited about, especially from your pov
I'm sure you don't mean 2 years. But I meant 1st week, or comparative time frame. MS sold 200k in America, around that in Europe based on it selling over 500k now over there. I think it is, or is just about to become a million seller.
It'll also sell more than Dirt at the end of its life cycle even though MS is exclusive, and Dirt will release on PS3 shortly.
Of course the HD-DVD stores carried BR, but the BR stores by and large didn't carry HD-DVD.
Blu-ray is the one pulling HD out of obscurity. HD-DVD kind of just sits there motionless in its grave. There's no doubt BR is contributing to sales, so they wouldn't be losing money on it.
Those three have got to be the best looking games I've ever seen.
This is totally ridiculous. Wii does not have any games worth playing which can't be picked up elsewhere.
I mean its best games are from Gamecube (Zelda, RE4 and Super Paper Mario, originally intended for GC)
Everything else is painfully embarrassing for longtime Nintards, it's worse than what they were used to with GC. Get used to it. You bought a console where N sacrificed everything for an extra buck with the non-games.
"Sony has not fought fair from the beginning"
Wrong! PS3 as a Blu-ray catalyst was a great idea. If only Toshiba had that power. Now PS3 and Blu-ray can coexist (one dying - impossible btw - would not hurt the other), and later on, the Trojan Horse effect will kick in propelling BR to greater heights.
"HD-DVD has achance of winning (or a variation of this sentence)"
Wrong! HD-DVD is long since dead.
"It's about even"

Just like Fable 1, this will come to PC, meaning it's not exclusive.
Not only that, but Sony is guaranteed to beat MS in RPGs. If you want 360 RPGs, play them on PC, that's where they all go. If you want the rest and more true exclusive RPGs, buy a PS3.
MS's Japanese support is completely bought and failing in terms of JRPGs. Eternal Sonata = crap, also coming to PS3, Enchanted Arms = exclusive lost by 360, Blue Dragon = completely flopped in sales...that would be it fo...
However if they make a Wii version, avoid it like the plague.
Motorstorm is a better game, and sold better than Dirt.
Codemasters is obviously using shipped, but VGcharts is @$$pulling their numbers as usual. This isn't even a spectacular game, the demo turned soooo many people off, it doesn't have proper online and isn't a movie license, so it makes no sense to sell 500k in one week. Under 250k is more like it.
As long as MS allows them to break, the stories will go on.
I hope a recall is issued so they lose BILLIONS for releasing shi**y hardware, refusing to fix it properly or even revise their production process. We need a huge class action lawsuit NOW. This is one of the worst products in HISTORY!
That'll teach them for rushing their console to launch, killing off Xbox1 and losing half their "fanbase" and forcing the next generation to start before it was m...
Stores closed included every last store that initially stocked HD-DVD. HD-DVDEAD is reported to be the cause of closure, and is no longer carried by any Blockbuster store.
Considering the slashing of Blu-ray player prices, the 65nm shift, and the hardware emulator removed in European version, we can make a very safe assumption that they've been making cash on PS3s since recently.
I mean who honestly believed the 200 loss thing would still be happening? Apparently, Sevenout lol.
European consoles (all 3 except 360 recently which has undergone massive desperate price reductions by store) are marked up by 40% on the US price. You thin...
