100% true the only thing that has me even a little concerned is if this starts to become a trend and more companies bypass the store they may start to try and lock down there OS and cite security as the reason.
TFLOPS is only a good indicator of power difference when comparing cards within the same family and doesn't translate well when comparing cards of different architecture as they handle Floating point operations different. Case in point the RX 480 has 5.8 TFLOPs and the GTX 1060 has less at 3.8 TFLOPs. Yet beats it in pretty much every way TFLOPS is only one factor to consider when looking at how much power a card actually has.
While also identifying herself as an ArenaNet employee, plus her post was about her work at ArenaNet once you do that you are no longer speaking as an private citizen but as a representative of your company. MS tried to lure JP games last gen with MistWalker studios who made two of the greatest RPG's last gen with Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey add in Tales Of Vesperia which are 3 of my 5 favorite RPG's of last gen plus some others I won't mention to keep this short shows try tried. Sadly nothing MS does will get them a foothold in JP simply because their culture won't allow them to support an outside company.
I could care less about cross-play but why hold my epic account hostage, I haven't spent a dime on the game but now because my XBOX,PC and PS4 account are all tied to my epic account I can no longer play on my Xbox or switch with that account this makes no sense.

Also MS did allow some games on a case by case basis back then to allow cross-play FFXI being one of them.
I did not like the last few entries they dumbed down the combat systems to make them easier and as a result lost what made the tales games fun and unique, Tales of Vesperia was the last good one in temrs of combat.
Both MS and Sony said that the X and Pro where just mid cycle refreshes, I am under the felling that if PS3 didn't do so bad in terms of sales they lost money on every console sold because of the cell processor and if the 360 didn't have such a huge red ring problem these are the consoles we would have gotten in the beginning. Instead they both played it safe and gave us under powered consoles to try and not repeat the mistakes from the last generation of consoles.
@deafdani They have always been though a message from Xbox if you go to your Xbox dashboard and head over to the communication tab there should be a message from live once they hand out the rewards.

One X hands down as someone with a 4K HDR enabled TV watching movies in 4k is the deal breaker for me. As of know only time I turn on my pro is to play The Show once a week but my Xbox I turn on everyday.
So to play this on both my PC and 1X I will need to download over 200 gigs. Glad im not on a cap or I would be screwed though it will take forever to download but those on caps are going to feel it, with the state of the FCC and ISP's the way they are those that love physical media will be happy awhile longer.
Because basically every Dev ready to implement cross-play has stated it is Sony holding them back and not allowing it just ask Psyonic why rocket league isn't cross play.
I wouldn't really call them optional they felt more like missions designed to level you up to make you ready for the next actual mission so I would actually call them padding since not doing them left you under leveled and they provided no story or lore to the game all they really did was make you fell like there was more of a game there.
My gtx1080ti struggles FPS wise on some games at 4k ultra settings but it does sing like a champ at 1440p on all titles on ultra settings I think we are still a generation of consoles away from 4k gaming and I believe the gtx1180ti or whatever they name it will be the first real 4k graphics card for PC.
You do know Sony helped pay for development of SFV as Capcom more than likely didn't have the money to fund development by themselves. So your boycott is ill informed and misguided as it not being on Xbox has more to do with Sony helping to fund the game and less on them not wanting to be release it on Xbox.

I agree with you despite ME:A flaws there was a great game underneath it just needed another year to bake and work out all the jank. If EA didn't force frostbite on them they might have released a decent game and great start to a new trilogy.
I really think Dead Cells is stretching the definition of Metroidvania. Other than needing upgrades from a few bosses there isn't much that makes this a metrodvania, with that said Dead Cell is the winner here hands down.
