The 'noise' wasn't constantly telling me the games I liked were bad, and that I was bad for liking them. That by itself makes it far more valuable than the empty words of modern games journalism, which largely exists to prop up an ever-shrinking circle of influence.
It's wild to me how many here are willing to shill for games journalists apparently. People that give skewed reviews not because a game is good, but because it aligns with their beliefs. If that's their idea of being worthy of an upvote then please, vote me down.
Oh lord... let's please try to keep the tired political rhetoric out of this please, it's always a smokescreen for those that otherwise have no points to make.
No thanks, I think I trust the noise more than the games journalists.
I would agree... if the old Volition was still around to do it.
Human stupidity and greed relying on AI trash to do a human's job.
Imagine pulling this off with your first game lol
I'd play remasters if they did em'
Don't worry folks, if you need a Concord 2 to laugh at Highguard is just around the corner and has less than 1% of the hype.
The first half of 5 wouldn't be too hard to do in the more grounded style the remakes have gone for, but the second half gets pretty silly and uncomfortable at parts.
6 is a wash. You'd have to basically make a whole new game to salvage that one at this point.
Really? Starfield exclusivity is your idea of a gotcha?
Or, alternatively, don't cut Switch and Steam out of your biggest releases day one.
"The game going elsewhere is up to Aniplex" but Sony owns Aniplex...
"interest" is a generous term for them tbh
Best surprise of 2024, then Cronos convinced me they really were good now.
Really? The idea EA doesn't care about ethics surprises you?
The only part of this I'm willing to entertain is that they should remaster the originals too. I liked 2R a lot but OG 2 doesn't deserve to be forgotten. These aren't and shouldn't be replacements for the original versions.
Man he's really lost a ton of weight, good on him.
...yet.
When games journalism has become as skewed towards propping up certain types of games as it has, the harder it leans towards trying to tell me something is great when external evidence claims otherwise the more inclined I am to actively ignore those reviews as shilling.
Marathon is a 7, not a 9, and that's coming from friends of mine that have actually played it. People I trust far more than any outlet.
