It's about time. Xbox One fans should be happy, and although I won't be getting the console, the competition is good - and because of Sony's proposition, Xbox One is now in a better place than it's ever been.
This is how we started:
Console needs internet connection to work - not anymore
Console can't work without Kinect - Not anymore
Console is region locked - not anymore
No Indie policy ...
Well, it’s good news that Microsoft can, at this late stage, squeeze some more juice from Xbox One to bring it ever closer to PS4 in terms of power. But I’m curious as to the repercussions of making such changes so late in the game, especially when the console’s said to be in full production.

Like I've said elsewhere, Microsoft should have taken notice to the stalled momentum of Kinect on Xbox 360, which saw the same fate as Ninendo's Wii....
It's a gimmick - it lasts for a while and then fades. That Kinect gimmick, along with motion controls, has died - it's not as intriguing as it once was.
So in this vein, I'll say Kinect simply is stalled with nowhere to go, plus Microsoft is forcing it upon gamers, making Xbox One $100 mor...
If PS4 was a house, I'd love to live in it. If it were a city, I'd love to move and make a living there, if it were a car, there's nothing else I'd drive....
...But it's a console, so there's nothing else I'll play on.

Creatchee, VR isn't by no means a gimmick. I put on something and I see stuff in virtual reality, making the worlds come to life.
Kinect sees my wagging my hands like a man that's lost his mind to make something work. That is gimmick.

Oh it is! The era of PS2 is seeing a rebirth in PS4. No doubt about it.
It's strong enough standalone. The price, the games, the hardware - indie support - friendly to the gamer and so much more!
Plus don't forget Sony's now creating some bundles with two DualShock4 controllers -- plus a game -- and the console still manages to cost less than Xbox One.
Say what you will, but PS4 is the best deal a gamer could ever ask for going into next-gen.
