pretty much every thing i wanted them to do they have done.
and it looks really awesome as well --
that was awesome.
sony got it in the bag with three things
AGENT - rockstar have wanted to make this for years
LAST GUARDIAN the - closest thing to playing a ghibli movie on a console
HEAVY RAIN - just look at it.
notice something about those 3 titles...they're all New frickin IPS
i say again this MGS rising nonsense is really silly.
for one its Multiplat
2 its a spin off- akin to the compilation ff7 stuff like crisis core
not a proper...
i hate reporting like this. its just lame
Makes me sad
cool tech tho --
before anyone bites my head off just chill (i'm saying this as a 360 gamer)
the motion sensing stuff looked a bit weak, but tbh that's probably because of the really lame things they were doing with it. they were really aping the wii which i wasn't fond of
MGS-RISING isn't a stolen exclusive. Each time i see that being written i just loose a little more faith in human intelligence. It's a spin off, and ages ago we've been getting hints that a spin off would come abo...
faith restored in this gen
i like very atmospheric games
so this is at the top of my list
Alan wake
Heavy rain
i have a feeling the new kojima game will be there too
i think i'll actually really enjoy e3 for once with this year.
:D
notice the mad amount of arrows jutting out of the monster when he goes under water
i'm guessing you're going to encounter squads of soldiers with lots of different ways of killing you. If this trailer reflects tone of the game's story i have a feeling the townspeople aren't fond of the little boy and put him there because he's special in a way they dont like
either that or the monster just likes kids
how could i doubt them?
man when the music swelled up and they were in the underwater cavern bit my eyes glazed over a bit.
what i love about footage like this is how much you can see has been conveyed. watch out for a popblock thing and they're probably make observations like this:
You're playing as a child in the possession of a monster that is nice to him but destroys soldiers(possibly keepers of the monster); morality in this isn't going to be a bl...
SRSLY.
peter you're not even aiming for the net so quiet.
Quantac dream, bioware or Squeenix are closest
Will this game non-online co-op?
good ol split-screen basically? a la resi 5
There is so much wrong with this statement:
"Microsoft: Final Fantasy XIII will sell more on Xbox 360"
I thought this kind of infantile dumbness went away when that popular MS PR guy left. I'd bet my ps3, 360 and copy of ffxiii on ps3 that it'll sell more on ps3
:D
i'm no fanboy i actually prefer my 360 collection of games thus far, as i've yet to get my hands on team ico, square enix, and quantac dream ps3 goodness.
instead of continuing in the vein of the first game and increasing the sophistication of the universe and characters' motives
they've made it so basic.
What forces are fighting each other? "big sister" protecting rapture?
This game sounds as deep as a puddle right now. It'd be better if there was warring factions who are represenatives of differing ideologies.
Like in the first one but made faaar more sophisticated.

I never said he had to be A resident evil freak
what an interestingly exaggerated reaction to what i said
Sociologists and anthropologists need to do TONS of research on their subject matter. Conclusions don't really have much validity without them.
A friend of mine is studying anthropology and I'm personally really interested in sociology.
With a discussion like this you would need to have someone who has explored the subject matte...
I'm sorry but this interview is a bit of a joke
This isn't a resident evil + anthropology expert
This is an anthropology expert they've (by the sounds of it) shown bits and pieces of the game, but mostly just explained their arguments and other arguments to.
He contradicts himself here and there and by the end you can kind of tell he's whittled the whole discourse into "political correctness r bad"
What you can most definitely tell is...
But ultimately its revealing him to be a Luddite.
art to me is simply a more complicated form of articulation than just talking or writing a letter: Communication of feelings, thoughts, observations
It isn't just about the subjective reaction of humans to crafted things like this guy is saying. Before getting all pretentious, insular and protective over all the myriad art movements we've created we have stop and think simply about WHY we are doing what we're doing...
Man that was pretty sick.
I love the little twist at the end. I thought wtf is the monster falling into a abyss or some OTT wormhole.
No the monster and all the other monster + kratos are all on a collosal monster climbing an immense cliff into some vortex.
F****** awesome
thats what you want in action game design, seriously wtf set ups and devices like that. I love this dev team
During a debate aren't you supposed to address the points made by the last speaker, which in this case is Daniel Whitehead of Eurogamer.
Dont' give me disagrees like a lobotomized twat and actually have a mature discussion instead of whipping out the same monstrously stupid points. Examples:
1) "OMG in the 1st main series resident evils you were killing white zombies and no one cared"
i'll say this once again, in the 1st main series resident evils you were...
i willing to bet this'll be one of the few titles from this gen that'll be great and nuanced enough to be a cult classic.
far too many fps coming out and third person action games that don't stand out.
open world + fps + driving + id = joy
