LOL - you really need to step back son... really!

THINK about what I've typed.... gsus. Do I have to bring Capt. Obvious in here to slap a 'smiley' down for you?

Is the inference of 500 years of development time a serious, and believable comment, even to someone like you?

Better yet to edit your reply because I caught myself a fool, with you.

Hey guys... we have a live one here! Hehe...

LOL!

When you actually learn how to read and comprehend all the comments in this thread, perhaps you'll see why I posted that article. Until then - shut up.

At the end of the day, it depends on... time = money.

With EA or any outside publisher, there's only so much time/money that any game project will receive. Very few games outside of 1st/2nd party development teams will get a green light for the - 'however long it takes' - or 'when it's done' treatment... and even then, there's usually a limit at some point.

Crytech talk ideally... and it all sounds great - but should development begin to run over budget or out of tim...

It's not that the 360 is more powerful than the PS3, because it's not. The PS3 has more overall processing power. However, the 360 is easier for most developers to programm for. Development time in general is also shorter vs PS3 development, thanks to PC-like development familiarity and a robust development toolset.

The exclusive AAA titles on the PS3 such as Killzone 2, and Uncharted 2 for examples - showcase what is possible when developers have the time and expertise to exploi...

In a recent video interview with Gamespot, president of NOA (Nintendo North America), Reggie Fils-Aime states that “Metroid is a key franchise, and in our view really since the Snes Metroid, we havent broken through in terms of 1.5 - 2 millions units. Thats our bar. Thats the scale that we look at to say on a global basis this is effective.”

Does effective = profitable?

I wonder how 'effective' AAA titles have to be on the 360 and/or PS3?

There's no question that the level of quality and attention to detail in the painstaking recreations of real cars that Gran Turismo is known for must take a lot of work, but Yamauchi was quick to explain just how much work is really necessary. "In GT and GT2, both for PS1, a designer spent a day to model a car. In G...

A judge has finalised a settlement in which film studio Sony will pay $1.5m (£850,000) to film fans after using a fake critic to praise its movies.

In 2001, ads for films including Hollow Man and A Knight's Tale quoted praise from a reviewer called David Manning, who was exposed as being invented.

People who saw the films in the US can now...

Hasn't Sony in fact removed features both in hardware and software in later revisions of the PS3, and charged the same prices after the 'clearance' sale during the phase out of the 20GB and 60GB PS3 models?

The current 80GB and 160GB PS3s lack the PS2 Emotion Engine hardware or any PS2 software emulation, as well as the 2 extra USB ports, flashcard readers, SACD support once found in previous models.

With the PSP GO... Factor in the cost of all new accessories. The G...

European fans of ghost busting with only an Xbox 360 got some bad news in early May when Sony announced that it would be publishing Ghostbusters in European and PAL regions. In other words, the only way to play Ghostbusters in a PAL region is on a Sony platform.

Luckily, all hope is not lost. Destructoid brings word today that Atari, the game's publisher in North...

Heavy Rain appears to be totally scripted gameplay... so how hard is it to make it look good?

The Last Guardian looks strange as well... it looks like the playable character is superimposed onto pre-rendered scenes. The playable character doesn't animate in a way that it actually touches anything in the world, including the guardian.
