I live in fear of that day.
@Mikelarry
Fair enough. I urge you to make it clear in your comments in the future, because defending gaming is hard enough in general. The clearer we are regarding who is to blame for maligning and misrepresenting games and the industry, the better. Cheers.
The video game industry is an easy target. The media pursue these stories because they get a lot of attention, and thus bring in advertising revenue during the commercial breaks. The politicians pursue these issues because they are misguided sociopaths longing for control, and the video game industry is a weaker target than the broader entertainment industry. The people support these kinds of measures because they are ignorant and have been raised to think that human beings are dumb puppets w...
Why? The tax code is used in many other ways to promote/attack certain kinds of behavior/trade/lifestyle regarded as good/bad by special interests and Congressmen/women. And dare I say that the American court system hasn't the finest record of protecting liberty/rationality.
@Mikelarry
That's an impressively ignorant comment, though sadly very common. You act as though Fox is the only news channel opposed to violence and video games. Of course, the truth is that ALL major or mainstream news channels run hit stories against games, for various reasons. Violence, sexuality, representation of race. But I guess it's easy to just jump on the bandwagon and hit out at Fox. Sure, Fox sucks. But so do ALL the mainstream news channels.
Some constructive criticism:
1. The crazy vehicle captures were cool. The first one made me laugh, and avoiding the heli was cool.
2. The C4 stuff was nothing special.
3. The sniper kills were cool.
4. The falling guys were funny.
I suggest you rebrand: it's not so much "funny" moments as much as it is "BF4" moments. I mean, if you get a vid of funny stuff, great. But most of this stuf...
Oh. No date for that I think.
Milking them for more or holding out for the combined pack?
Today. Should update this evening (EST).
With the price drop and free DLC, Konami just earned themselves a preorder.
I'm not sure the word "fair" applies in this context. Your suggestion is essentially that both PC and console gamers should each suffer a "fair" degree of a negative, rather than each enjoying optimized games.
If you think the menu works well on a console controller, that is of course your opinion. For my part, I think they are difficult to navigate, the cursor controls are sluggish, the writing is tiny, the layout is counterintuitive, and aesthetical...
WHOA! Great sale! Picking up Dragon's Crown, Ni No Kuni, and maybe Tales of Xilia. Will wait for the PS4 Diablo III.
Played this on my EU account and wasn't that impressed. The controls and funky-weird menu system ruins the whole experience. If they fix that stuff for the US, this game would be amazing. If not, I'm not interested (which is hugely disappointing, because I was hyped about it).
I will buy the most expensive limited edition of this remake...
Ah, I didn't realize there was a script. That would be pretty funny.
So...This entire thing is just people telling someone what buttons to press on a Pokemon game? Or is there some other dimension to this that I'm missing?
(Thanks for the link)
What's this whole twitch plays pokemon thing anyway? I missed the entire event...
So can we buy this game on the Japanese PSN Store? Sure, it would be in Japanese, but for those of us who speak/are learning Japanese, could we get this? 'Cause...seems that so long as we can access the store, we should be able to use a Western credit card or even paypal to get this.
Yeah, he spoke Japanese at an event last year. Pretty cool.
The hack itself was of course not a good thing, and in that respect the title is simply misstated. But I completely agree that the hack helped to wake Sony up. They received a well-deserved backlash from consumers alongside severe criticism by the gaming community. It knocked them out of the bizarre funk they had been in since shortly before the PS3 release. I'm sure the hack wasn't the only trigger for Sony's change, but it was too deep and pervasive not to impact their policy an...
