Well that's a bit difficult, because what you might find good or essential a reviewer might skip it. So my advice to you is to go on metacritic's page of Killzone 2 and read all reviews. There must be something like 40 diffenrent reviews. Maybe by reading them all you might take a bit of info you want from every review, and then summarize it to make it a personal 'ultimate' review.
But since you say you love FPS's I don't know why you shouldn't buy Killzone 2. As everyone says it...

I read today that Sony is promising PlayStation 3 hybrid game/movie Blu-ray Discs (starting this year).
I think it would be grate if they could put the animation and the game on the same Disc.

This is how I see it:
Site/Magazine makes a review (here about Killzone 2)----> and Killzone 2 fans(boys) not happy.
Fans expressing their anger/disgust/discontent/... but most of all their OPINION towards the review of said site/Magazine.
Site/Magazine is saying those fans are just stupid because they cannot accept an opinion, stating that a review is basically an opinion of a person towards a game.

I'm actually interested in this game. It looks really nice and beautifull. I'll certainly download the demo and see if it plays well on console.

I'm still waiting for PSN cards!!! What the hell is Sony doing? Don't they want to earn some money? I would have allready bought a lot from the PSN store, if I had those cards at my disposal. It's not only us, Europeans that get screwed, but they screw themselves over as well. I mean they've got a chance to make a lot more money out of it, but it's like they don't even want it.

Of course EA refuses to confirm PS3 version. If it comes to the PS3 it will certainly be after it came on the Xbox and PC first. M$ would have a time exclusive. So until it comes out on the Xbox they will never confirm it coming on the PS3
They know people prefer XP, so why don't they release something like XP second generation (or someting like that). If people like and trust the original XP (they are used to it, don't want to change and find out everything has changed)they'll be more inclined to go with the "new" XP (same name means people trust it more and have confidance it will be just like their old XP but better).

I find the demo a good way to get used to the controles so that you won't be overwhelmed or irrittated in the first levels when you've got the final product. But I do understand what you mean, but I'm weak and cannot wait.... :( lol
Are those numbers really only for Europe? I read the interview with Reese, and I see it mentions 1.1 million pre orders but it doesn't say clearly if it is Europe only. Does someone know, and can confirm it is for Europe only. Thanks

Metacritic counted 1UP's review as a 100/100, I just checked (for those that wondered how it would be translated in numbers)
If it is coming on the PS3, it will be later (timed exclusive for Microsoft). So obviously they'll talk about Mass Effect coming on the PS3 (if it truly comes out on that console) only like several months after it has been allready released on the Xbox and PC. So even if it comes out on the PS3, I don't think there would be a chance we here about it now, espacially before it eaven comes out to the Xbox and PC.

I agree with you. Personally I did not play Gears so I don't even know exactly what a Brumak is, but all I can say is that he did not mention gears. Besides using an enemy in your advantage like the titan, has already been done (if I'm not mistaken) in other games (maybe more poorly and put in less evidence).
And why would he want to take a 'jab' at gears? Do gears developers and GOW's can't stand each other? There is no reason why he would take a jab at gears.
