You (the author of the article), make it sound as if they took 25 million of their money (basicaly making a loss) to give those players a month free. While in fact it cost them probaly nothing to give those cards to them and would still make profits (with all the non rrod users), even though they gave a free month for some million users...

anyway, I'll probably get both. Why hate on Prototype. It seems to be a nice game. I'm more pro Sony, but some here are bashing Prototype just because it's a multiplat, and goes to the 360 as well. Those who bought Killzone 2 can clearly see when going in the rankings stats that there are about 70.000 pages with 10 players per page. Meaning there are at least 700.000 people worldwide who went to play online. I cannot speculate how much more it sold in total, but 1 million is possible.

Well there is a difference between 'calculating' how many games/consoles have been sold (it is possible to be quiet precise in this), whereas a survey is not precise at all. If you want a true survey you'd have to ask everyone the question (meaning all Wii and all PS3 owners; meaning millions of people). There are of course multiple accounts (I'm one of them), but with 21 million PS3's and 50 million PSP's. I don't think it's that difficult to reach such a number. So yes there are multiple accounts, but out of 71 million pieces of hardware sold, I think that 20 million is possible, but I'll still put it between 15 and 20 million.

That's more like an ad for the UK. As usual all the advertising money goes there, ignoring the rest of Europe (seriously, I've only seen 2 differnt game adverts from Sony since the PS3 came out).They should start advertising in smaller countries as well.

yeah I would say Wii first, and then the PSP (wich is half way there)
