lol @ the people that are defending that abomination of a conference.
In terms of handheld importance, Pokemon >>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>& gt;>>>>>>> >>>>>>>> ;>>>>> Mario and it really isn't even close.
Its somewhat the same predicament the PS3 faced when it first released, because even towards the end of its life the PS2 was getting top-quality games made for it, plus it was inexpensive and had a massive library of games.
smartphones and tablets =/= PCs
Umm, isn't Tri the best selling console MH to date? If it is, not sure why Larry L is trying to say PS2 MH sales > Wii MH sales
You speak as if the 3DS doesn't have any compelling software on the platform, whether current or upcoming
Didn't you get the memo? The only "REAL" Castlevania games are the ones in glorious HD 3D goodness (lol)
Not ignorant. They just want to so badly believe the WiiU is underpowered they immediately ignore any statements that contradict their beliefs.
I respect your opinion, but I'm going to have to disagree with it. In my experience the best games have always been the ones that weren't trying to be realistic or were parodies of realism by being completely over-the-top (like GTA: SA).
But to each their own. Just know that you're in a minority.
I'm in full agreement with your comment.
1. Death of the single player experience - no longer are games developed solely for the experience of one user, or even to play locally with your friends. Not say multiplayer is bad, but it is too much of a focal point in game development.
2. Realism over substance and style in graphics - I don't need to look any further than the new SSX to see the problem with this. The new SSX isn't a bad game, but it's not SSX in neither style or presentation, and EA's choice to i...
Just posting to say that I meant to click the agree button but I accidentally hit disagree.
Seriously, WTF man??
Still waiting for Powerstone 3.
FLAWLESS VICTORY
LOL are you posting on the same N4G that I am? Because being a PS3/360 fanboy is practically encouraged on this site.
Don't forget the introduction and improvement of the Berries/held items system and breeding system (i.e egg moves) as well as the introduction of DW abilities, double battles, triple battles, and rotating battles.
There needs to be no changes in the battle mechanics of Pokemon. GF has done a damn good job to improve upon with each passing generation, so I have no qualms on that front. But the top-down view has long since needed a overhaul, as well as the battle presentation between Pokemon. With the power that the 3DS has, there is absolutely no excuse that GF can use to explain the lack of, at the very least, a cel-shaded 3D world with 3D battle animations.
It's apparent that you haven't played the series since the first generation. The core Pokemon RPG elements have more or less remained the same, but the battle mechanics have far since improved since then, and if you were to play B/W today chances are you would be confused.
Really, the only thing that is stale about Pokemon is the presentation.
And as usual, the typical anti-3DS comments are rampant in this section. It's pretty sad that Sony fanboys can't accept the 3DS as a viable handheld platform.
