It has passed Xbox360 in EU and Japan. Only NA is left. It continues to sell much better in its life than Xbox360. Xbox360 was released in Nov 05 and sits at 44million. PS3 was released in Nov 06 and sits at 41million with a higher price point since its launch.
Xbox launched with $300 and $400 models while PS3 launched with $500 and $600 models. It is quite amazing how much faster it has been selling even though it was more expensive and still is, than xbox360.
