And Heavy Rain has a 87, so it's probably under what they were looking for. However, it's stupid to write an article based off a handful of reviews before the public gets the game. It isn't uncommon or unheard of for some of the first reviews to be high and then the rest are lower or see the opposite happen.
Sounds incredible!
If you want the honest truth, The Walking Dead appeals to more people, so it isn't impossible to believe it got GOTY awards. Beyond: Two Souls looks to be a very deep and philosophical journey, which is going to result in mixed reactions. Some people simply aren't going to get it, the demo impressions have already proven that many people simply don't like this game and most of all, there are a lot of amazing games this year. It will probably get a few GOTY awards, but it will prob...

And? Just because I know the DLC is coming, doesn't mean I want to see it sold to me before the game even releases.
Sorry to hear that! I got like 6 within a 5 mile radius.
Could always go to another location.
This is still better than Disgaea D2. That game releases tomorrow in the US, though you're more than welcome to buy Fuka and Desco as playable characters. I mean, how tacky is it when you can buy the DLC before the game even releases?!
"dlc day one ?, put it on the disc you c*nts. "
Just because it's on the disc, doesn't mean that they won't charge you for it.

You're going to an extreme when thats not what people want. Like I hate playing stealth games. I just lack the patience to sneak around, so I generally cause a lot of alerts and kill everyone. So I most likely won't notice some stealth mechanics, I will have a completely different view point than others and in a lot of ways I am not really reviewing the game for what it is. So the question becomes, should I review this game despite being wrong for it?

"they don't make money off ad revenues and promotions so their reviews are the most unbiased you'd be able to find around the net."
Yeah... no. First off, views are always important. No one sponsors sites that don't get views and people who don't get views aren't paid that well. Would you fund a site and give the same payout to the person who got 100,000 views and the other who got 300? Most likely not. These sites aren't funded through the g...
I'm surprised Disgaea didn't make the cut. Those games constantly break the fourth wall and are pretty funny.
So I can't disagree with them simply because it's their opinion?

I live in the US, so it released in Sept.
So... the online mode for GTA (which most people can't get to work and the remaining people have problems with), Pokemon X / Y and Phoenix Wright is enough to make October THAT amazing? Even more so, why is Phoenix Wright getting more spotlight than Sonic Lost Worlds, Beyond: Two Souls and really, no spotlight for Disgaea D2? They might be good games, but they're not on the same tiering of Pokemon / GTA. Maybe Sonic, but not Phoenix Wright.
Furthermore, October looks...
PS3 version did. PSV version didn't.
Killer deal, since some people who worked for Double Jump worked on this. Lets hope this also motivates new comers to give the game a go too.
Debatable.
Some people might prefer the color version to the shiny gold foil ( http://a51274b2bfd36c9eba6f... I personally do), plus some people claim the EU box art is reversible.
I really wish the US version was as nice as the EU version.

The thing is... I don't see any real "hate", which is why my reply was sarcastic.
- Almost every review was high. 54 reviews were over 71 (first one is 75), where as only 8 of the remaining 22 reviews were under 70.
- Several articles before and after document how it's the "best portable shooter to date".
- Stupid things like IGN's top 25 Vita games listed it as number like 12. Even though that list...
I don't see why so many feel a need to address this in the first place. It was a given from the start that this game would not appeal to everyone (perhaps even most people) and this is exactly what we're seeing. Everything from the demo, impressions, reviews, comments pointed to this exact thing happening, which makes me wonder why it needs to be addressed.
In the end, Beyond can push the boundaries and get nothing, but 1/10's, since praise and pushing the bounda...
