Don't forget what consoles did for DVD. The playstation ade DVD popular. And because most people owned the PS1 and PS2, they had a
DVD player packaged right in the machine. Everytime a PS3 is sold, not to mention the standalones + the 5 free BR you get when buying a BR player, at the very least suggest that BR is really winning this battle.
What are your reports including. Becuase if the 5 free BR that come with the almost all BR players are factored, good luck to HD-DVD. Yes, they may not be direct sales, but they are flooding the market with BR disks. This would seriously impact the HD-DVD numbers. Oh, not to mention all but one studio that hasn't budged to the other side. HD-DVD is dead. Whether you hear it now or in a month from now, it won't make any difference.
talking to yourself with post #2 and #3?
But remember DVD, it was the same situation when they first came out. Each disk was around the same price you discussed. I remember peoples' biggest complaint was the coasters. $20 coasters would suck.
looks pretty darn interesting. Talk about brain teaser. I think it's a definite purchase.
Right !!!!!!!
Wow - And what will you do if the opposite happens? Why start to flame from the first post? Chill! They both have a hell of a lineup this holiday season.
Why do they keep shooting themselves in the head everytime they have a bi of momentum?
comment 2.1 - should clear up the haze. They are not threatened. They are in control.
One of their most profitable divisions. Remember that everything is tied together. Instead of paying a theater to see a movie, Sony wants to make that money. Then after you like the movie, you want to buy the movie on Blu Ray. When you need a Blu Ray player, they want you to buy a PS3. If you notice, it's all about Sony Pictures at this point. Everything leads to it. They are not doing this to counter MS. MS will have to pay Sony for their AAA box office hits, and they have a lot of them. Son...
This is Sony's strategy. There are a lot of effects the PS3 is having on their products. This is an all of nothing situation for Sony, but it seems to be working (sort of - too early to tell). Blu Ray is clearly winning the early fight.
Agreed. They are not showing disks sold, which would be a huge factor. Second, if the PS3 is in the number counts, then that means HD-DVD has sold over a million units, which doesn't make too much sense. If they have sold over 1 million, wow.
I was just kidding.
100% The Wii is turning into more of an exercise machine than a gaming machine.
Plastic pieces are Nintendo going to make. To store the tiny Wii, I'm gonna need to build a shed in my backyard by 2010, it they keep adding more plastic.
Royal Rumble, the Ultimate Warrior edition. j/k.
Your agrees/disagrees just proved your point. lol.
Then what is it? What will it ever provide that rivals the two giants, MS and Sony. People liked to be WOW-ed and after 2 hours with the Wii, people are bored. It's repetative and mundane. They don't have the graphical capabities and a weight scale is not gonna pull it. I still find it funny that the scale does not show peoples real weight but sill shows a huge body mass. LOL.
I don't know, but he said "exclusive this year" at first and said "exclusive" and only on the PS3 later, after the trailer ended. I think it make just stick on the PS3. But those comments Jack made were pretty confusing. Expect a press release clarifying things.
Are they seriously talking about the first Xbox? Aren't they on round number 2 with a lead? If MS likes to go backwards, can we also talk about how Sega screwed up after Genesis. I miss ecco the dolphin.
